Don't worry. It'll be over soon. Just 15 days to flatten the curve.

Apparently the threshold for increased restriction is 300 hospitalized statewide. 300?
they probably have way less hospital capacity in most of their state

I’d laugh if La didn’t have its own Dumbocrat to deal with.

You know as soon as he has any possible reason to, JBE is going to put a lid on La again.

How long until the surrounding areas just decide to wall in Portland and leave them to their own devices?

The rest of the state is somewhat sane, with the possible exceptions of Eugene and Corvallis, and they have to be getting sick of this shite.

"Brown said new COVID-19 variants are widespread and if she doesn’t act now, hospital systems and healthcare workers will be stretched to their limits treating these severe cases."

Said the same thing last year. This is what people in these nutcase states are going to hear for years.

Those people are insane. Oregon has a population of 4.2 million people. Louisiana has about 4.4 million. As of yesterday, there are 328 people hospitalized with COVID in Oregon. In Louisiana, there are 307. They are shutting down and we are opening up.

There are 62 hospitals state wide. I know they aren't evenly distributed, but that is an average of 5.25 patients per facility.

I've been to Oregon and drove thru the entire state. Outside of Portland, Eugene, and the coastal areas that is conservative red state. It sad the rest of the state has to be subject to the nazis in Portland.

Kinda like Washington outside a couple of cities

In early data Tuesday, there were 328 Covid-positive hospital patients.
They appear to have 6,274 beds statewide. So, 4.7% of beds taken by COVID patients takes them back to lockgowns.

Checked the NYT counter. Thave a 14 day average of under 900 cases statewide. The "outbreak" is limited to about 3 counties.

But meh, it's Oregon. WTF should I care if they want to play dumb for months to come? Seriously. If leftist sheetholes want to prolong the pain, why should I care?

The eastern part of that state should separate its self from that coastal dictatorship.

And we don’t even know if they are hospitalized FOR covid or if they are in for something else but tested positive

For the people in the conservative areas, it must be like Poland when they were behind the Iron Curtain.

The smarter red counties just need to tell the state government to FO. Just ignore all the governor's mandates. If the gov tries to send in state police, then deputize all citizens and make the staties earn their paycheck. The authoritarian left will only be stopped by force. This should be done in all states that have retarded democrats in power.

I read a few weeks ago the Oregon govt is trying to make mask mandates a permanent thing.
