ISIS embedded themselves with civilians. This is going to happen, unfortunately, if we want to stop ISIS. USF can only mitigate the loss of civilians, not completely prevent it.

How stupid does one have to be to think this is a war crime? Civilians have died in every war ever. It's unavoidable. Besides, international law is a complete fiction, and doesn't apply to countries like us

1. We didn't. The Brits did most of the killing in Hamburg. The Brits used to bomb the frick out of targets near the coast because their radar bombing aid could pick up the coast reliably. I was in Hamburg once and the I immediately noticed the glass and steel downtown. Very modern.
2. The reason we had to bomb German and Japanese civilians was because they had effective national governments that gave us no other choice. We can walk up and put hand cuffs on any of the people we are bombing now. It is immoral and ineffective.

Talk about bombing Hamburg. A Brit clergyman, maybe the Archbishop of Canterbury noted in re the Brit indiscriminate area bombing, that we did ourselves little credit by acting worse than the Nazis.
