And nothing was done. When will this tired act play out? How many more have to die before common damn sense takes over.
When you KNOW these bastards are in communication with radical people and groups, arrest their fricking arse and throw away the key.
Or better yet, don't let them in to begin with.

They're in too deep already with them. They've already let too many in and mixed into their culture. The sleeper cells are there. Our best move is to continue strengthening our borders and background checks for immigrants.

You can interview them and ask them questions, but legally there isn't anything they can do.

I think that you're right, in a way. In medicine, we use screening tests that are the most sensitive, meaning they will hopefully pick up nearly 100% of people with a disease. This often comes at the expense of specificity, whereby we occasionally tell people who don't have a disease that they do because they tested positive on our test that is "overly" sensitive by design. We do this because we'd rather tell someone who doesn't have a disease that they have it than miss someone who's curable at an early stage by using a less sensitive test. You can always go back and tell the patient that they don't really have the disease. After all, they are not really sick. However, you can't go back to an earlier time when the disease was curable.
Perhaps this is how we need to handle Islamic terror: Increase the sensitivity of our screening test.

It's a frustrating situation, for sure. Simply talking to someone is not illegal and we shouldn't restrict free speech and association just because of what someone could do, but more effort needs to be put in to arrest those who are known criminals/terrorists as well as rounding up suspected conspirators after an attack occurs and see if they can be tried for conspiracy to commit terrorism. Those convicted of terrorism or conspiracy to commit terrorism against the state should be put to death.
