So let’s flip the script and get behind Nelson.
I’m in.

Unless the GOPe threatens me to take away my seats at the Fall Reagan cocktail mixer. shite, nevermind. I cherish those seats.

Just bring up the condition of roads and bridges in Louisiana during a debate, and he's toast

Ok, Governor Race, whats the Latest

The state peaked in the early 19th century and will never recover.

Louisiana’s population and culture has things going for it. Responsible governance has never been nor ever will be one of those things.

Landry was ahead until Orleans Parish votes dropped at about 11:30 p.m. putting Wilson in the lead.

We will beat them in 2027 though!

I saw a commercial for Jeff Landry where he fake pans for the camera and talks about crime and I just thought about how sad it was.

Is this really the best we can do here?

Maybe they do need to listen to him. They certainly don't listen to the citizens.

I love many of his ideas, especially on literacy and tax policy, but to get things done you have to have allies, and he tends to alienate people.

Our thorough experience of what happens when we elect well-liked leaders with bad ideas is EVERY reason why we should look at anyone with good ideas. He is the least likely to leave it the same way he found it, which is the bold action we need.

Landry is their guy because he has sworn to keep things the way they are. And as a bonus he will say and do really stupid shite the whole time too. Yay.

Let’s amend that. Landry is the guy because even if he didn’t want to keep things like they are, he’d still get 30% and be a viable candidate.

And because he’s put in the work and had a career to get to 30%, IMO that makes him more legit for the next 15% which will make him the favorite.

IMO whoever wins in Jefferson Parish is the next Governor. You know which way the Orleans and EBR vote is going.

quote:Nelson is great, I agree with this, but he did not present his reduction in homestead exemption properly. He let his opponents pimp it as a total abolishment of the homestead exemption when in fact, it was only a partial reduction of the homestead exemption. Misplayed his hand…

I look very forward to voting for Nelson for higher office even Governor down the road.

FFS he’s about two years into his first elected office and second job post-college. It looks silly that he has the hubris to run for the highest elected state office.

I don’t know why he doesn’t wait and learn more, build bridges and relationships, all that political shite. It just looks arrogant and entitled to me. Sorry.

He’s from Acadiana isn’t he?

Jefferson Parish is like 450,000 and one of our biggest parishes. I believe JBE won it twice
