ObamaCare exchange mistakenly debiting bank accounts

LINK

quote:

For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and it's causing problems for people who are dealing with billing issues. Some of them say the website is mistakenly debiting their accounts.

Shannon Bruner of Indianola logged on to her checking account Monday morning, and found she was almost 800 dollars in the negative. “The first thing I thought was, ‘I got screwed,’” she said.

The Bruners enrolled for insurance on the Washington Healthplanfinder website, last October. They say they selected the bill pay date to be December 24th. Instead the Washington Healthplanfinder drafted the 835 dollar premium Monday.

quote:

One viewer emailed KING 5 saying, "They drafted my account this morning for a second time."

Another woman on Facebook with a similar problem commented, "We are all in the same boat." “We've got to figure out how to get money to pay the bills for the next week or two until we have another check come through,” said Josh Bruner. “It's just crazy.”

Washington Healthplanfinder emailed the Bruners a few days ago telling them to log in to view their invoice, something they couldn't do because the website has been down.

The Bruners haven't been able to get through on the helpline either. They finally contacted Healthplanfinder administrators by posting a message on their Facebook page.

Who in their right mind would give the government direct access to their checking account?

Faux News propaganda. This is a great law and you desperate teabaggers want to spread lies so people die of preventable diseases.

Why is the exchange debiting cards

I thought all payments went to the actual insurance companies? If that is true, why would the exchange even have the capability to charge a credit card built in?

Followed soon by the new IRS form 1080EZ-SII.

1. How much did you earn last year.
2. Send It In.
3. Sign and return with payment.
4. Don't forget to place a $1.20 stamp on the envelope for our comrades at the USPS.

It's almost the same as giving your account to a Nigerian Prince who requires your help in an urgent financial matter.

Well in their defense, if you do direct deposit for your income tax returns, the govt has access

Have you ever seen any of those scambaiting sites? They make up fictional people and string the scammers along, then post the entire exchange online. Comedy gold.

Some of you Amerikaners are beginning to doubt Der Fuhrer Obama. Let me assure you: you must sweep these negative thoughts away from you.

Not saying she voted for Obama but the ironic thing is there are plenty of people that did but yet now Obamacare is biting some of them in the butt. What's sad is Hillary will come along and promise a quick fix to ACA and people will once again take the bait and vote for her just on Clinton's sayso that she will fix things, without any proof.

Anybody that gets Social Security, E. Direct Deposit. This stuff is like a pernicious virus; just a matter of time before everybody and every (financial) information is ACCESSIBLE and CONTROLABLE by the Government.

Brings to mind that verse in the Good Book (Revelation) where that if one don't "take the number of the beast"...they won't be able to "buy and sell". Yeah...I know...the Bible is a bunch of fantastical gobbledygook, that just happens to coincidentally mirror reality.

Central Planned Economy on the way. World version...starting when the dollar crashes and the good ole USA needs a 'bailout'.

Oh well. I'm going watch the Lord of the Rings movie today. Good always wins in the final act; just not without the character-building pain.

Most of these people are on govt assistance and get direct deposit already. Plus I'm guessing the subsidies get paid in that way
