Have to disagree with you. Conservatives are not nearly as lockstep/doctrinaire/ideological as Progressives. Conservatives are practical, Progressives theoretical. To them it is a part of life, to a Progressive it is a life and death struggle against the forces of evil. Just watching the Hobby Lobby decision unfold is enough to make that point.

So you're responding to an incorrect premise.

You can get the pill at Walmart for less than $10 without insurance. The pill isn't everyone's first choice but Ramon Noodles weren't my first choice when I was poor, either.

Apples and oranges. Suggesting that kids can borrow business start up money from their parents is out of touch. Suggesting that someone cancel cable or cell phones in favor of health care is a bit different.

Imagine that...getting rid of non-necessities for something you deem absolutely necessary. Strange world we live in.

Now if we could only get people like that to think the same way about their nails, hurr, big screen tv's, cell phones and rims...versus food, water bills and rent.
