Obama hasn't even submitted a budget in years much less had a vote on one.
All he's legally required to do is submit a budget request from Congress. No where in the Constitution does it say he has to submit a passable bill.
Everyone puts the blame at Obama's feet. What about the Senate Democrats? WTF?
unilateral and permanent power to raise the debt ceiling as he requested yesterday through Geitner?
You're such a hack.
GOP aides say that in talks with congressional leaders on Capitol Hill on Thursday, Geithner proposed a “permanent” increase in the debt ceiling — meaning changing the law so that Congress no longer has to approve an increase in the statutory borrowing cap, which has been in place since 1917.
He hinted at it in an interview with Bloomberg News a few weeks ago. But the fact that Geithner is proposing giving the administration such authority behind the scenes adds a new dimension to the idea.
On Bloomberg TV, “Political Capital” host Al Hunt asked Geithner if he believes “we ought to just eliminate the debt ceiling.”
“Oh, absolutely,” Geithner said.
“You do? Will you propose that?” Hunt asked.
“Well, this is something only Congress can solve,” Geithner said. “Congress put it on itself. We've had 100 years of experience with it, and I think only once--last summer--did people decide to use it to threaten default on the American credit for the first time in history as a tool for political advantage. And that’s not a tenable strategy.”
Hunt then asked: “Is now the time to eliminate it?”
“It would have been time a long time ago to eliminate it,” Geithner said. “The sooner the better.”
2) If he doesn't submit a budget, he won't get
blamed for overspending and defray it to Bush
and the Republicans

Obama Supporters: Are You Comfortable With Obama Having unilateral and permanent power
Yep, sure am.
Quoting for perspective.
I mean. . .holy shite.
If that is indicative of the political barometer on that side of the aisle. . .holy frick.
to characterize these as obama budget defeats is just another example of blind conservative obstructionism that panders to tea party primary voters, does nothing to consolidate ideas, and causes further friction.
So Obama has never presented a budget then?
