Would you sit through a rant against this country every week, week after week, if you didn't agree with the message?
Put away your hood. It's almost over.

We really need Wolfhound to weigh in on this one. This is right in his wheelhouse.

Obama sending 3000 US troops to Ebola danger zone
If we are lucky maybe ISIS decides to blend into the local population to attack our troops, gets sick, returns to Syria... I think you know where this is going.

I think we are trying to save the world. I am not an Obama fan, but I think this is a good call This Ebola thing is going to kill tens of thousands maybe millions. The sooner we get a handle on it the better. We are the only ones on the planet with the technology and resources to kill this thing, the sooner we start the better.

I think, of all the reasons for our troops to be anywhere at anytime on the face of this globe, this would be the most worthy, most noble cause. But let's put that aside for a second and discuss the responses by some of the asshats in this thread:
Some of you are so numb and desensitized to War, combat, troop deployment, and military might in general, you have succeeded in exhibiting the most selfish, despicable, condescending, and irrational thought processes ever processed. You would prefer fire-fights and bloodshed to seemingly preserve your shameless way of life, over helping your fellow man. That's right. Africans are your 'fellow man.' They admire and look up to you. They wish you the best. You? Some of you would prefer they all just die ignominious deaths. It's a sad commentary on your average American citizen, the nobility of the world, but it's true.
The easy thing to say or assume, is that we are not really like that; this is simply just another expression of 'hate all things Obama.' But I don't think so. I saw similar comments of uproar when American doctors were brought back here for treatment, and a good amount of citizens said 'WTF'. The outrage was palpable when citizens showed up in droves to turn back Central American children in Arizona. Sandy Hook is remembered for gun rights, not slaughtered children.
We are unabashedly the laziest, selfish, most judgmental people in the world, with an obscene set of morals to boot. Some of you should be sent to the Ebola danger zone

You have to understand. Many members of this board spend countless hours looking for another reason, an reason, to hate Obama. It's how they get their kicks.
They share an unhealthy dose of paranoia that gets fed by the conservative pundits. And apparently, they enjoy feeling like everything is out of control and that the world is going to end tomorrow, and it's all Obama's fault.
The problem with paranoia, is that a person who possesses it can't see how foolish their logic is. Everything that they worry about is logical and justified.
So yes, they absolutely believe that Obama is sending 3000 troops to get infected by Ebola, and he will recall them and spread them across the country and wipe out the predominantly Christian American public so that the Muslims can invade the US and take it as their own.

Honestly, if I were still in the service, I would consider taking a dishonorable discharge at this point. frick. that.
...that may be too strong, but it depend on WHO is being sent and the scope of he mission. My protest, refers to those who could be stuck policing the general population and providing security.

The US military has responded to pretty much every natural and man made disaster in the last 25 years.

So, maybe it's time other African nations, the Middle East, Asia and Europe handle things in their back yard. WHO is saying they need a minimum of $1 billion also.
Let any volunteers go who want to. Against sending troops to a contagious area like this.

Really? Every great thread deserves an 'out' for the respondents with an indefensible position. I always try to provide that

so what's the mission for these troops? just to mitigate crime?

They don't appear to have a firm mission criteria in place other than watching over medical supplies.. Sounds about right for this administration.

People who truly believe that he is trying to destroy the American military through methods like sending troops to an Ebola zone are no better than 9/11 "truthers" or Obama "birthers".
Agreed. Outside the posts of Vegas Bengal and Tuba, it may have been the dumbest post I've read on this board.

excuse my ignorance but are they creating a new post/base there or do we have one established already?
