IF the ACA was a success, why do so many elected democrats and democratic voters continue to list healthcare reform as their number one policy goal?

IMO healthcare is something that will always be a work in progress. Some legislation helps slightly, some makes it worse. Healthcare is an enormous umbrella that is never going to cover everyone and will always be an issue. My 2 cents

Since it's inception, premiums are up aobut 200%.

That's only for those that have to pay for it in order to cover the cost of giving it away to those who pay little or nothing.

Right. All those ads with people saying they found a great plan for $17 a month--we're paying for that shite.

Funny how all these so-called 'ultra-conservatives' jump right in to defend or deflect Obama being attacked

Like they were ever going to vote for a republican. The instant that Rob! would have clinched the nomination, they would have been on here eviscerating his abortion stance as being unelectable

It's not the only metric for sure. I can only speak for myself but my health insurance hasn't changed much at all since Obamacare. Since its inception I've had company provided healthcare for roughly 75% of that time,

So you’re a poor.

Voicing frustration about a failure to repeal ACA is defending Obama?

I see GOP politicians voting against their constituents' wishes and I blame those politicians. You see GOP politicians voting against their constituents' wishes and you blame Trump. Why do you blame others for actions they didn't take?

Leftists blame white people for everything. You blame Trump for everything. Intellectual peas in a pod.

As a small business owner, frick ObamaCare. My monthly premiums are a joke.

Curious if it’s so damn good, are the members of Congress and White House on ACA?

Right there with you LCrox. I'm not in a big group to absorb high premiums. I got slaughtered by ACA. It hurt small businesses.

I don't think so but maybe you feel like this is some kind of insult?
I'm in sales and my insurance comes and goes with employment. Is what it is. Do you feel better now?

You do understand that bills are presented by congress, and signed into law by the POTUS. Sooo not sure your point bitch!

I understand government well unlike MAGAy.

So what’s the point of another Trump presidency?

Trump is the one who claimed over and over he’d repeal and replace.

Given his mission and perspective…it IS working.

For what he wanted to accomplish, it worked beautifully.

We have actual data that shows Obamacare failed horribly at its main goal: reduce healthcare costs

And this is the real problem with this legislation and the general understanding of its intent. Cost savings were never the primary intended effect. The ACA was designed to do several things:

1. Accelerate consolidation of the administration of medical care into a few large organizations but reducing physician/professional reimbursement (and thus influence over the delivery of healthcare) and "relatively" increasing reimbursement to facilities. This then places control of the system into the hands of corporate bureaucrats.

2. Subjugate those large organizations to centralized federal control by then having undue influence over the reimbursement for medical services.

3. Centralized big data collection by the government through implementation of universal EMR usage.

4. All of which ultimately leads to the real objective of a de facto single payer, government controlled healthcare system. Which is what they wanted from the beginning.

And it is working amazingly well at all of these things.

Are you trying to claim this is what we have or where we are heading? The lobbyists that control our government and wrote the ACA would never allow this.
