Obama locks out the press — again

quote:
“We think these fundraisers ought to be open to at least some scrutiny, because the president’s participation in them is fundamentally public in nature,” said Christi Parsons, the new president of the White House Correspondents Association. “Denying access to him in that setting undermines the public’s ability to independently monitor and see what its government is doing. It’s of special concern as these events and the donors they attract become more influential in the political process.”
quote:
Despite constant complaints from the press corps and promises from White House officials, access to the president continues to be limited in ways not seen in previous administrations. The constantly repeated line that they’re running the “most transparent administration in history” tends to prompt snickers. Halfway through Obama’s West Coast swing, it’s tipping toward outrage.
If he starts to loose the press, he and his party are in trouble.

59M people wanted this empty suit leading this nation in these times. Elections have consequences and we are dealing with them.

The press corps (corpse) is a batter spouse.
Obama will shite all over them, treat them like shite, and abuse them...and they will still defend him.

The press isn't free, its been bought, and ran from the top. They won't turn from Obama, they are why he's there and never vetted him...So, they are tied to his success, and will never turn.

Lol no.
The press is lockstep in the corner of the entire democratic party and they will do whatever they tell the press to do.

Since these appearances are at least partially paid for with tax dollars, I would think you could file for access under the Freedom of Information Act.

Uh no. FOIA is for documents (electronic, hard copy, etc.) only. That's all.

Nah. He could lose the press if Hillary runs on fixes his mess. He would lose them really fast.

The press is who created him, his public image that is. Turning on Obama would be like turning on themselves.

At this point, all they could do is harm his popularity. He doesn't need to care. And they'll never turn against the Dems. They've bought too much into this progressivism bullshite to back out now. They've probably indoctrinated themselves in the process.

Would the use of a Teleprompter be covered? Or any notes, audio or video recordings of the proceedings?

I don't think any of it would be. This is a fundraiser so no official "government" documents to be requested. FOIA covers documents kept in the normal course of business of a government agency (and of course Office of Pres, WH, etc.) and there are about 7 categories of exemptions.
