An Obama-tied activist group training tens of thousands of agitators to protest President Trump’s policies plans to hit Republican lawmakers supporting those policies even harder this week, when they return home for the congressional recess and hold town hall meetings and other functions.

Organizing for Action, a group founded by Obama and featured prominently on his new post-presidency website, is distributing a training manual to anti-Trump activists that advises them to bully GOP lawmakers into backing off support for repealing ObamaCare, curbing immigration from high-risk Islamic nations, and building a border wall.
quote:

The manual, published with OFA partner “Indivisible,” advises protesters to go into halls quietly so as not to raise alarms, and “grab seats at the front of the room but do not all sit together.” Rather, spread out in pairs to make it seem like the whole room opposes the Republican host’s positions. “This will help reinforce the impression of broad consensus.” It also urges them to ask “hostile” questions — while keeping “a firm hold on the mic” — and loudly boo the the GOP politician if he isn’t “giving you real answers.”

“Express your concern [to the event’s hosts] they are giving a platform to pro-Trump authoritarianism, racism, and corruption,” it says.

The goal is to make Republicans, even from safe districts, second-guess their support for the Trump agenda, and to prime “the ground for the 2018 midterms when Democrats retake power.”

“Even the safest [Republican] will be deeply alarmed by signs of organized opposition,” the document states,

Here is the training manual. It is quite specific in studying the formation of the tea party movement and trying to copy it. Only thing is, it will never work because the tea party were not paid protesters.

Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda

They succeeded somewhat with the Chaffetz town hall. We had our prog posters posting here that it was not organized paid activism. Progressive democrats and anti-Trumpers, claimed on this very poli board; that it was a natural protest because of the local Utah federal-land grab in Utah. It eventually came out when Chaffetz himself claimed they were paid activists. So the jig is up but they haven't a clue, because this has always worked in the past and they know nothing else but Obama's divisive rhetoric action.

Yes, logically there were some real anti-land grabber-protesters. But it making the news and the hateful rhetoric, is obviously planned to divide and conquer Republicans. The democrats view this as the only way they can return from the hospice care of their party. I was against the POTUS Trump rally last night. I now clearly see the reasoning for it now. We are at war within our own country.

When they can't argue their ideas they try to take over, shout people down, and cause mayhem - kinda like the Allstate guy.

Should make it easy for R's to dismiss them as OFA shills.

And just like the last election, people will quietly go to the polls and express their real opinion there. These people are like children, the more real hate they spread and the more violent they get, the more people will oppose them at the booth.

Theybtruly are what they accuse the right to be. (Haters, Nazi's and Fascists)

The Utah thing was mostly concerned citizens. Trying to deny the interest in Federal lands is just denial.

But most political events have the same people at them, both for support and opposition. If the issue is important, there will be organized support on both sides, as well as regular citizens. Just a fact of life.

I don't understand why politicians let people like this and protesters have any effect on them at all. These people have no power.

They only get their way if the politician caves and gives them what they want. But why cave? It's not like they are being tortured and they break. There is nothing really to cave to. All they can do is keep protesting... and so what. Let them waste their time.

I giggle when people suggest the left will move back to the center.

The silent conservative majority, otherwise know as "the center right" is not new, and the dems have built a mechanism to combat that by making their support feel bigger than it is. The goal is to make quiet conservatives and swing voters second guess themselves. The left has learned nothing from Trump and are doubling down on this. If they control the media, academia, pop culture, and the courts, they will eventually control everything. The world is full of single party ruled nations whose governments its people are disgusted with. Our system is not immune to this, and if we don't expose it, we will meet a similar fate here.

The internet and the free spread of information makes it hard for their tactics to work.

These aren’t typical Black Lives Matter or Occupy Wall Street marchers, but rather professionally trained organizers who go through a six-week training program similar to the training — steeped in Alinsky agitation tactics — Obama received in Chicago when he was a community organizer.

Chicago socialist Saul Alinsky, known by the left as “the father of community organizing,” taught radicals to “rub raw the sores of discontent” and create the conditions for a “revolution.” He dedicated his book, “Rules for Radicals,” to “Lucifer.” Michelle Obama quoted from the book when she helped launch OFA in 2013.

Obama appears to be behind the anti-Trump protests. He praised recent demonstrations against Trump’s travel ban. And last year, after Trump’s upset victory, he personally rallied OFA troops to “protect” his legacy in a conference call. “Now is the time for some organizing,” he said. “So don’t mope” over the election results.

He promised OFA activists he would soon join them in the fray.

“Understand that I’m going to be constrained in what I do with all of you until I am again a private citizen, but that’s not so far off,” he said. “You’re going to see me early next year, and we’re going to be in a position where we can start cooking up all kinds of great stuff.”

Added the ex-president: “I promise you that next year Michelle and I are going to be right there with you, and the clouds are going to start parting, and we’re going to be busy. I’ve got all kinds of thoughts and ideas about it, but this isn’t the best time to share them.

“Point is, I’m still fired up and ready to go, and I hope that all of you are, as well.”
In case there is still... any doubt Obama is behind an attack on the Trump Presidency.

In his next presser Trump should start reading from the manual and let the questions go from there.

So why don't the republicans take that manual and use it to organize protests against Democrats in the same way? Seems that would be a better use of time than bitching about it

I just posted the literal manual of what they did specifically in Utah. As well as, --CNN democratic headquaters--quoting Obama in the shadows telling the democrats to mirror the tea party. Again, as I already said, I am sure there were some there that opposed a fed land grab. But the agitators putting the event in the national headlines were there as well. There is no denying it.

Paid protesters and Obamas 'community organizing' garbage, --combined with the media on their team-- used to work.

The only chance they have is if the NeverTrumpers like McCain are actually revered. They aren't anymore...

It used to be that.... if John McCain said anything, it was followed like the republicans calling for Nixon to resign. McCain is -as exposed- as the fake leftist protesters.

We are watching history. The death of the establishment parties of the republicans and democrats. POTUS Trump had his rally call last night; and the democrats will not divide and conquer-- because no one respects what McCain like anti-Trumpers say anymore.

Dear God, you are a true believer.

Sure, Republicans would never use dirty tricks in an election against Democrats.

No, they don't really go for the jugular, they may fake act like they do sometimes-- at the end of the day... they are on the same team.

Reid said Romney didn't pay his taxes..

Yes anyone protesting this administration MUST be on the take. Not possible that many people just strongly disagree with the policy proposals.
