Sounds like a smart business move.
Yeah, what the hell, if the soldier's hazard pay gets cut, the wife and kids will probably have their food stamps increased back home.

What vodkacop said.

I don't care who you are... E-4 or O-6.... When you spend 10 fricking minutes in a place in which you know you can be blown to fricking hell .... Never see your wife, friends, family, kids.... Ever again... $225 a month or $7.50 a day doesn't seem like OT ballin'.

And after about 8 months... You'd gladly pay twice that or more for 10 minutes with your wife and kids.

This is a fricking dick move by the FOOD STAMP POTUS.

How many "entitlements" to fricking moochers / dem slaves have been cut?

Making bank ?

Really ?

Let's not forget that Qatar is "middle eastern nice" ... but, it's still not like sitting in Tampa Bay or San Diego or ... pick a location in the U.S.

Being in the Middle East sucks ... period.

And, yes ... I've been to Qatar.

They import Africans from Mogadishu and such to do all the manual labor ... and generally invent ways to spend money ... much like they do in U.A.E. / Dubai.

I'd still rather be in the U.S.... ANY DAY / ANYWHERE.

Are you suggesting we pay a soldier who works 30 days in a combat zone the exact same hazard pay as a soldier who works 1 day in a combat zone? That's exactly the way it worked before.

Jesus Christ people are you that fricking heartless that you can't give someone 7.50 cent a fricking day?

Why not just pay any soldier who spends 1 day in a war zone hazard pay for an entire year? Or why not for their entire enlistment? Where does it end, exactly?

I'm just curious where your outrage places the limit.

My outrage begins and remains when dreg deadbeats get welfare, food stamps, WIC, SNAP, etc ... to do nothing and contribute nothing ... but the guy you voted for twice is always looking first and foremost to take a bite from military pay.

That doesn't really do anything to answer the question.

How much combat pay should a single day of combat get you? Just 30 days? A year's worth? A career's worth?

Why not just pay any soldier who ever sees combat the same combat pay the rest of their career's no matter how much combat they actually see? That's fair, right? Anyone who disagrees hates soldiers and is an Kenyan lover.

Have you ever been in Imminent Danger, you stupid bastard?

Have you ever been shot at?

Kinda hard to put a price tag on it.

$225 a month for any fricking moment in that month ... well, I've always viewed it as at least a nice gesture.

Way too low. I got $65 a month for Hostile Fire Pay, which would translate to about $390 today.
