Either way, the guards take it very seriously. I would have to think he would never allow anyone to deface the tomb. I googled it a bit. They are the best of the 3rd US Infantry Regiment called the Old Guard. To even be a guard is a tough process and an extremely high honor.
Although, this is irrelevant to the thread since this happened in Texas, not DC. Either way, still a despicable act.
