You are the most intellectually dishonest poster on this website. That is an accomplishment, considering those you compete with for the crown of buffoonery. You are too stupid to be embarrassed.

The irony is that The "Norwegian Dream" is a fancy cruise ship for very rich "elite" people not your average everyday Joe!!

The USA has several cities with more people than the entire country of Norway. Not even close to the same situation.

Those same revenues spread out amongst the US population would be about $3000 for each of us. Tax reform would yield more.

Norway is a tough example to use. It's nearly impossible to gain citizenship there. You don't really hear about traveling to Norway to "find the Norwegian dream

I wonder why they don't have "Dreamers"??

I'll agree to align our socialist policies with Norway so long as we also can align our immigration and citizenship policies as well.

ETA: you get zero if your are not a citizen.

Also, have you even tried to think of the astronomical number it would cost to "give" every citizen in America $200,000?

$66,000,000,000,000

You think that's feasible in just oil money?

They could give close to that much per household in the United States with good ol' Republican George W Bush's trillion dollar bailout.

Also, Norway isn't "giving" the money to its citizens....it is holding it for them.

and we could have given everyone over the age of 55 in the workforce 1 million dollars to retire with Obama's bailout and created millions of jobs overnight. instead we gave it all away to car company CEOs

They are also tough as hell on immigration. This is a pretty horrible attempt at a gotcha against America.

Plus the Scandinavians are the single biggest mooches on the US Military Industrial Complex. We'd literally only have to enforce the Monroe Doctrine to make this feasible.

It is sad to see so many people fall back on racial arguments in this thread, calling it "reality" and so on.'

The fact is that I am completely and absolutely against Affirmative Action.

Why? Because I can say to any defenders of AA that all people are the same and skin color should be not taken into account when thinking about things like hiring, college admissions. Just hire the best. The best hiring IMO happens at fine symphonic orchestra's where the person going for the talent judgement is literally behind a screen. The only thing that matters is how well they perform. Only later do the judges doing the hiring find out if they hired an Asian woman from Korea, a Russian from Moscow or some guy named Frank from Peoria who can really play the flute.

Should be the same way in colleges. Race - no factor.

Now in this thread all these comments talk about black majority countries and this and that.

Do you not realize that you are keeping the ideas of liberals who say we need affirmative action alive to give a "helping hand" a boost with these arguments?

It is time to start ignoring race.

SCOTUS boss John Roberts - ruling in an affirmative action case -

"The way to stop discriminating based on race is to stop discriminating based on race".

This I can agree with. So let's stop using it as a reason we cannot be like Norway and be responsible for our finances.
