What do you think Kim Jong would do after war broke out?

Go into hiding, suicide, get killed by someone in his circle?

I would think they would pull back in anticipation of an attack on NK. Being directly on the DMZ would seem like auto death

I'm not sure what the plan is now but when I was on the DMZ 15 years ago there was no plan to pull back.

What's more important/strategic for NK to attack? Seoul or DMZ? Also how far away is the Capitol from the DMZ?

And yes I'm aware of what the DMZ is before anyone asks.

A few other websites are reporting that traffic has picked up recently.

Also, I was reading a post on 4chan earlier that said the same thing and that they will showcase some of these ICBMs to go along with some Korean Independence Day type shite.

They are going to launch them from barges and apparently are being followed as we speak.

*no idea if any of the last two statements are true; but I do know Sky king is true about our military planes.

LINK

quote:

SKYKING, SKYKING, DO NOT ANSWER. Here's some answers.
You're surfing SDRadio and you tune pass 8992 kHz or 11175 kHz in USB and suddenly you hear:

SKYKING, SKYKING, DO NOT ANSWER.

A series of phonetic letters and numbers follow in some ominous leftover from the Cold War. Spooky.

quote:

We'll start with what we do know.

1)SKYKING is operated by the United States Military. Some of the messages are transmitted from Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska (the ones that end in "Offutt Out"). This is the headquarters of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) which is charged with space operations (such as military satellites), information operations (such as information warfare), missile defense, global command and control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR), global strike and strategic deterrence (the United States nuclear arsenal), and combating weapons of mass destruction.

2)SKYKING messages have been transmitted since at least the early 1980s.

3)During times of tensions, or unusual behavior by Russia, China or North Korea, SKYKING messages broadcast more often. In March of 2015, Russia launched surprise military exercises near the borders of Finland and Norway (the latter of which is a NATO Member). When this happened, a SKYKING message lasting 34 minutes was broadcast. Unprecedented by most previous transmitted messages, and, as of the date of this post, none have been nearly that long. (EDIT: OCTOBER, 31 2016 SAW A 42 CHARACTER CODE TRANSMITTED)

quote:

Speculation that is probable.

Based on publicly available and common information, "solid guesses" are listed here.

1)The transmitted codes are likely One Time Cipher Pads, sometimes known as a Caesar Cipher. This is a set if codebooks held only by the transmitter and recipient of the message and they have the only two copies of the codes and know which letters and numbers mean what. Once it is used, it is never reused.

2)That means it's nearly impossible to crack the transmission's meaning. Simple fact: the US Military would not broadcast it on something you and I could pick up if they though their code could be compromised. We cannot decipher these SKYKING messages. Don't try.

3)SKYKING messages are probably sent to nuclear elements of USSTRATCOM and maybe intelligence units. Most of the messages are probably benign; "Nothing new, all is well." Occasionally, it can be assumed a "Something odd is happening in Russia, we will let you know if it gets worse," message is sent.

4)Most likely, since SKYKING messages seem to be part of the Air Force, some of these messages are directed at TACAMO (TAke Charge And Move Out) stations or aircraft. It is still common practice of the US Government to maintain a National Command Authority Chain of Succession and Command should a terrible event strike the US Government. An important redundancy for a nation as powerful as the US.

5)You won't crack the cipher. Seriously, no you won't.

6)Longer messages probably mean something. What the "something" is, I'm not sure. Maybe it's "I'm on R&R this week so you will hear a different voice but it's authentic," or "China has a new aircraft circling the South China Sea and Japan is worried. Pick up its radar signature." We'll never know.

National Liberation Day is the 15th. It's when they celebrate liberation from Japan, both north and south celebrate.

At 10:30 AM CT, it will be August 15th in NK.

The weather has been shitty lately, but if they're testing SLBMs that doesn't matter.

Well 38North has noticed increased activity around their subs, signalling a submarine launch, Un has been out of the public view for weeks now, which usually happens before a provocation such as a missile launch or nuke test as to give the illusion that he was closely guiding the process.

Damn man. That's insane you said that. Another thread I was reading today said we would sink those subs and immediately choreograph a volley of tomahawks and lancers at strategic military and residential sites for KJU.

This will also be done with Japan as well as South Korea.

From what I've read it's war.

China will not be involved until the land starts being seized.

Well poo. Should I grab the BoB, pup n the guns and head to our land to live life in the woods? If so, taking applications for people with useful skills. Got a house, 700 acres, plenty of wildlife and fields

I find it interesting that they claim ICBM could reach us now, but others say they can't with a war head on them.

So IMO they obviously can't because like discussed above they are showing activity with their subs.

This makes me very curious of how unstable this is. A simple Google search says that their fleet is pretty much garbage, and it's very dangerous for them.

I know I've seen you guys on here talking about them using a mobile platform such as a vehicle based launch. Supposedly they're nowhere near this at this time correct?

Anyways how dangerous are these two concepts for NK? What happens with a failure? Can a simple launch be catastrophic for them if not done correctly, or does a warhead have security measures in place for these types of issues?

Damn you Poli Board, and Insomnia!!

Anyways thanks for all who are up right now, and especially answering my basic questions

So you don't think if they fire off one more rocket that we don't respond this time?

I'm not trying to argue with you; I'm asking you where you think Trump stands on his red line?

I know for us, once an ICBM is launched there are no abort measures possible. Once it is launched, that's it. That's why there are so many measures before hand to ensure a launch is wanted.

Test missiles do have a command destruct package added in case the missile goes somewhere you don't want it to, but i'm not sure if NK is that advanced/smart enough to have that.
