Oh sweety, you know that's just the gender confusion talking.

It'll be ok.

I thought Nikki was gonna be his VP? JK

In all seriousness, Noem was never going to be the VP and seems like Oli is a bit dramatic, but Noem should have never spoke of this situation.

Um.... what do you have against tree stands? And wild hogs are a scourge on the earth. Even us city folk know that...

That's a little unhinged. Sure, there are a lot of dickbags who hunt and fish who'd have no problem shooting a dog.

But all hunters? That's a little too PETA extremist...

Had a well bread pointer that was a total mess. Dumbest dog I’ve ever had. Scared of his shadow. Gave him away. Shooting him in a gravel pit never entered my mind.

For me the worst part about this story is that it's an indicator she has poor instincts on a national scale.

Does anyone think she is a serious VP candidate?

If her goals are to stay in South Dakota, this story is a non-issue.

If she wants to go national, she has way more problems than killing a dog.

Deep down nobody on this thread truly gives a shite where it really bothers them irl. Lots of dramatics because Noem is tied to trump and somehow this is bad because he picks bad people even though Noem was never the vp choice.

Is Noem a weirdo for letting this out? Still yes.

That’s a different issue than whether it’s ok to kill a hunting dog on a ranch. (Or any dog you own, for that matter)

I assume all those who say no are vegans.

I have had to put an aggressive dog down one of the hardest things I have had to do. Loved that dog but after she attacked several dogs and bit four family members she had to go. Wasn’t gonna pay a vet to do the dirty work.

The dog was attacking the chickens. I don’t know about you, but I much prefer the taste of chicken to most any type of meet.

Rover had to go.

You are painting a detailed narrative with few facts.
She wrote this crap in her own book. Including what her kids said when they got home. You have anything to contradict that? She paints herself as a psycho.

This all happened in the 2000's on her family ranch she was trying to convert to a hunting lodge / restaurant. I have no idea who she tried to go hunting with but she tried to bring a 14 month old dog on a hunt without training and was embarrassed. She's a trashy soccer mom who thought the dog should behave because it was a certain breed.

The dog never bit a human, but she took it to a gravel pit and shot it along with a goat that she thought was smelly and would knock her kids over.

mmcgrath is trying to make it sound like he read the book when all he actually read was a hit piece while conveniently ignoring the dog killed a number of the neighbor's chickens.

That will absolutely get a dog shot in rural America.
