Those are ticket sales, not attendance.

NFL teams, in general, don't announce actual attendance.

NO vs. GB

Check lower left corner. They do report attendance.

Per Nielsen down 17.5% from 2 years ago. Sure, nothing to see here. No effect at all.

No, they do not. What they do is they report tickets sold as attendance. They do not report actual attendance as in the number of tickets scanned at the gates that day.

Doing so is bad marketing. They want to create as much demand for tickets as possible to keep pushing prices higher.

Boycott any un-patriotic institution. In the words of Negan, "Shut that shite down."

I was a Jag fan, born and and raised in NE Florida and even though they are having a good season, I will not watch, attend a game or purchase anything NFL related.
There has to be a consequence for disrespecting the flag, the country and the men and women who died to allow the spoiled millionaire owners and players the opportunity to make those millions. Screw them all!

Guess you better shut this shite down too, patriot.

That's the kind of thing that just tickles my balls.

Here are NFL stadiums from 2015. Stop overstating the impact of Trump/protests.

Nielsen isn't overstating / understating anything. 17.5% drop in 2 years is huge and will have a negative effect on the next TV negotiation.

Damn that’s embarrassing. I went to visit some family members that always watched the NFL and are not into politics and they have given up football. The NFL may have screwed there self. I think the super bowl ratings will be interesting to see.

And 2016, before anyone started paying attention was also down from 2015 (though not as much as 2017). The NFL has more going on than just these protests. The injuries and CTE are having a big effect too.

If he does it during the show, I'll shut that shite down too! When you are on the clock, do what you are paid to do, I don't want to hear it. Off the clock you are free to be and say whatever you want within reason, it's America!

RedZone channel, cord cutting, people under 30 not watching near as much TV, and young kids not playing football in as high of numbers are impacting this as well.

From a purely financial standpoint, it is amazing that the NFL didn’t put a stop to this.

I think they actually thought that people hate Trump and would stand by their teams for no other reason than to show that hatred.

If the NFL knows about these things impacting the numbers, wouldn't you think they wouldn't want any negative PR?

Is an actor playing the main antagonist in one of the most popular shows really ever off the clock? He made the comments on his twitter where the background pic is of one of the most iconic scenes of his tenure on the show. You sure you don't want to shut that shite down?

Dammit, you can never make absolutes when Jacksonville is involved. Obviously noting packed GB, NE, SEA, OAK, MIN, PIT, KC....

Yes. Do it during the show and I will never watch again. It's that simple, what don't you understand? I like his role on the show but don't give a shite about his political views so don't bring it into the time I am watching the show or lose me as a viewer.

I never missed an episode of Modern Family until they crossed the PC line last year and have not watched an episode since, and I don't miss it at all. They have the right to do what they want and I have the right to change the channel, it's America! Pissing off half your audience is never a good idea in my opinion.

Awesome if it cause a collapse of the NFL.

Nothing would make me happier than for all of those uneducated thugs who make millions because they can run fast and catch a ball to be unemployed.

Then college sports can collapse after that for all I care.
