Gun manufacturers are only allowed to sell their new guns to citizens that are approved by the ATF
more often than not they'll also comply with requests they don't legally have to...because guess who buys the most guns and the most ammunition

the Virginia governor is so concerned with criminals stockpiling weapons, yet sees no issue with the government doing the same.

government in a liberals mind is here to keep us in line...we serve them, or else...it's the typical bullshite.

I at least respect people supporting a blanket ban on guns, because that's way less stupid than laws restricting you to one gun purchase per month, having your conceal carry license stripped for any number of offenses having nothing to do with an individuals rights (like failure to pay child support)

yeah, we told gun owners they have to lock up their guns in their cars...we've really done something now.

If all of this was in effect, what would it have stopped in this case?

Since it was not the gun that killed but the bullets shouldn't that be the target of the lawsuit? Shouldn't that be made "aware" of?
I mean he didn't beat them with the gun but killed them with bullets.

we need to stop this car show loophole...I can go buy from a private seller without insurance, a license, a background check or anything? I can always just steal a car...we should make a law mandating cars be kept locked away out of sight so they won't be stolen. What if one of these deranged kids steals his parents car keys and alcohol and goes around running people over?

1. mass shooting coverage is ridiculous...it's media sensationalism...nowadays these maniacs are partly motivated at the infamy they will obtain and the media coverage. That's why they're usually obsessed with other school shooters, etc.

Kudos to the families of the 17 individuals killed at Newtown who refused to take part in this publicity stunt by Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder. Today was the very last day such a lawsuit could have been filed and the reason that law firm waited to the last day is because they were hoping to persuade others to join in on it. The story should be about those 17 families rather than the 10 that allowed themselves to be hustled into this suit by a law firm which brags on its website that "Our attorneys have won six of the ten largest personal injury verdicts in Connecticut history.".

Amen.

There is a school of thought that neither money(lack of) nor stress changes people - it unmasks them and reveals to the world who they truly are.

I subscribe to it.

Maybe they should sue his parents and go from there.

There's no money there and there's no compelling narrative of corporations against humanity.

Obviously, this suit will not go anywhere. But I do feel sorry for the families,...

I don't feel sorry for the families joining this lawsuit however.
They are using their dead to make a political point.

There are restrictions on the size and types of knives you can carry in public and purchase at the state and federal level.

Cars titles are transferred and recorded at the DMV. You can't drive one off of private property without a license, registration, etc. And there are non-criminal conditions under which you can lose your driving privileges.

Crowbars are the odd one out. Fertilizer (of certain types) in certain amounts is restricted.

You are really doing some mental gymnastics to try and save face on your ridiculous claim. You changed your argument in every single situation.

Knife restrictions? Really? I can go to the hardware store and buy as many knives or machetes as I want.
