That image has a Late Show with Stephen Colbert logo... is it just a screenshot from his show?

edit: bunch of triggered snowflakes can't take a joke from a late night show

It's pretty inappropriate IMO

I'm not "offended" FWIW, I just find it to be a shitty thing to do.

Here's the segment of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert that the Miller-head-on-pike is from. Acting like this is some disgusting, horrible thing is pretty hard if you watch the segment.

Relax guys, it's comedy

LINK

In case you're too lazy to click, all they do is insert Miller into TV shows because Miller said he would "go on any show, any time"--Late Show put him in stuff like Big Bang Theory, Walking Dead (I think?), and Game of Thrones.

It's not the triggering you idiot it's the blatant hypocrisy. Maybe Breitbart should do the same of Corey booker or Rahm Emmanuel..

If Breitbart posted a screenshot from Late Show, no one would give a frick. The Late Show segment is completely benign.

You guys saw his head on a pike and jerked your knees immediately without regard to the Late Show logo in the corner of the image. You apparently didn't read the NY Times article either.

It's almost like... context is important?

Maybe you're right.

If someone did the Game of Thrones joke with Valerie Jarrett's head, however, shite would be set on fire.

its ok to call out the NYT for posting that screen shot though, out of all they could have used

its cheap clickbait meant to draw controversy

it obviously worked

I think the point is the NY times doesn't provide any. Nobody cares about the skit. Posting that pic with that tag line actually removes the comedic context.

Context is never in the cards here.

Is it really? Read the tweet. It specifically places the context of that photo in late night shows, which are widely understood to be comedic and to use satire and hyperbole to entertain audiences. Posting that photo in that context with a Late Show logo on the image is not what I would call "meant to draw controversy"

I think the NY Times assumed that average people would be able to understand the context.

It took me 5 seconds to figure out what was going on with that image, and then I looked up the video to confirm my suspicions.

'Member when Gabrielle Giffords got shot, and all the dimocratixes, including the NYT blamed it on Sarah Palin's targets on a political map? And everybody, including the NYT demanded that we tone down the rhetoric?

Evidently, the NYT doesn't remember.

And the worst part about this is that today's dimocratixes have shown that they are far, far more irrational and prone to violence than the Tea Party on its very worst day.
