Decades ago I could light tires soaked in diesel to burn rotting cow carcasses.

I can manage!

Well it would appear since he killed her by burning her alive, it would be simple justice to do the same for him.

I think he was referring to your spelling of stake.

Oh a grammar teacher wannabe spelling Nazi.

Maybe I can bring a steak to the burning at the stake!

A little sauce for the gander like the goose, and for my steak.
I make a homemade BBQ sauce that's killer! Pun intended!

she told them that "Eric did this to me."

They still haven't publicly explained how they reconciled that with a guy named Quinton, no?

That's what court is for. He'll get his day and a million appeals.

I wonder how many appeals she got?

Was she saying anything else coherent? Was this fully coherent?

I haven't followed close enough to grasp her actual mental and physical capabilities to make a definitive declaration in that condition

Im going to hold judgement. After seeing how small town cops in stories like this will arrest anyone they think they can pin it on, not who evidence actually points to, I'm willing to let the evidence be my guide, not emotion.

Maybe he told her his name was Eric? Doesn't seem that they knew each other that well if she didn't even know his last name. Sounds like he was hired to become friendly with her enough to gain her trust to "hang out" and then kill her. A made up name would definitely be part of that scenario.

from one article

quote:

He said he asked Chambers’ her name, then asked, “What happened?” and she responded saying, “Eric set me on fire.” Cole testified. He then asked again, “Who did this to you?” Chambers again responded, “Eric.”

Several first responders and nurses said they heard the name "Eric" and she was quoted as saying other things like "thirsty" and "cold".

It was a town with a population of 500 and they grew up in the same neighborhood in that town.

Well considering he already lied and then recanted the lie and then admitted he was with her twice the day she was murdered, it will be fairly easy to put this thug away for life.

I think all murder's should die exactly the way they killed someone, whatever it is, they should have the full experience
