“Should we need to encourage a national boycott similar to what happened with Anheuser Busch (Bud Light) which is now down $27 billion (note, not one brick thrown, not one highway blocked, not one bridge burned) — WE WILL DO JUST THAT,” the letter added.

A Native American group, Native American Guardians Association (NAGA), has threatened a national boycott of the Washington Commanders unless the NFL team reverses course and changes its name back to the Washington Redskins. NAGA sent a letter to the “Washington ‘Commanders’ Ownership & Key Leadership Formally Requesting The Team Revitalize it’s Relationship With The American Indian Community & Rightfully Change Their Name Back to ‘The Redskins.'”

I am proud of my Red Skin!!

I suspect the entire controversy was started by one or two attention starved Indians and then a bunch of woke whites jumped in.

I never understood how naming a NFL team "Reskins" or a baseball team "Indians" was anything other than complimentary to Indians.

You know what...actually in this case, they need to go full Antifa style activism on this issue. Be super aggressive, lie in the streets like Just Stop Oil, etc. They Left won't want to stop them because they're indigenous, but the cause they're going to be pushing is the opposite of what they want.

Heads would explode...and then they'll be called White Supremacists...by white people.

Lucky for these silly brown and red people, the white Democrats are smarter and will stand up for them, despite what they think they want.

IBF, I can understand how redskins could be offensive to Native Americans and why they might want it changed. But Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, FSU Seminole, etc, I don't believe the majority of Indians are offended by it.

I want to see them showing up to protest at Washington games because I want to see liberal heads explode by trying to tell American Indians how they should be offended then getting pissed when they refuse.

Nice! That would be awesome to see the left melt.
I wonder truly, how many Native Americans were "offended" by the Redskins name. It was probably a bunch of white, leftist, Antifa type, college activist pushing the whole thing.

It may have been 1or 2 attention getters but isn’t that what the situation was in the first place in getting it changed ?

I read this above paragraph, and was absolutely convinced that it would be Babylon Bee when I clicked the link.

And then it wasn't the Babylon Bee.

So, TIL: Reality truly has become more satire than the best satire writers can keep up with.
