That should be enormously comforting to his family.
I am sure that the families of thousands of dead soldiers don't like hearing that the war their kids died over was started under false premises, but it's the truth. Yet some people will fight anyone who calls out the war because they think it insults the soldiers and their families. "Support our troops", y'know. Same principle.

I just thought this was a random shooting - this was at Parliament and they're reporting the PM is safe?
Poor Canada - if this were the U.S. it would be lead story, by every news outlet on Earth. Taliban, Lichtenstein, ISIS, Chile - everywhere.
But, it's like, "Just Canada, eh?"

It's the lead everywhere I have looked.
I would say the odds of the shooter having Islamic ties about about 80 percent.
But I kind of hope it is just a random nut job...just to see how many of the above posters return to the thread and eat crow.
