So Manaforts good friend Trump can't pardon his scumbag arse

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller has a distinctly modern problem. The president, judging by his tweets, could try to pardon people in his circle even before prosecutors charge anyone with a crime.
Mueller’s all-star team of prosecutors, with expertise in money laundering and foreign bribery, has an answer to that. He’s Michael Dreeben, a bookish career government lawyer with more than 100 Supreme Court appearances under his belt.

Dreeben’s broader brief is to make sure the special counsel’s prosecutorial moves are legally airtight. That could include anything from strategizing on novel interpretations of criminal law to making sure the recent search warrant on ex-campaign adviser Paul Manafort’s home would stand up to an appeal.

This is a joke right? I Mean there is solid precedence for a pre charge pardon AND btw there is no indication that Trump is going to pardon anyone, or even thinking about it, other than the fact that he pardoned Joe Arpaio I suppose.
LOL you people have the worst cases of TDS.

Wow. This is the end for Trump. Do you think he'll get life in prison?

Why are they worried about Trump issuing pardons?
He'll be indicted, right? Found guilty of helping the Russians interfere? Stealing the Presidency from her? He won't have the power to pardon after big bad Mueller is done with him, right?

Correct
and Mueller is a FEDERAL prosecutor , not a state prosecutor, any crimes he charges ANYONE with will be federal crimes.

and i've made the argument that this "pre-pardon" would still protect the defendnat's 5th Amendment rights for any potential STATE prosecution
