I came across this comment in the article and it fueled its own war on words. Divisiveness is what the article breeds.
"I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for all the great contributions that the Black community has made to society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people.
Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature for these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do culture of integrity and honor. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.
God bless every single one of them!"

Yeah, that will stir the pot a bit.

I think its BS that we are forcing integration.
Birds of a feather.
Birds of a feather.

And have the government buy houses in the suburbs that are for sale and turn around and rent/sell them to lower income people and integrate the schools that way.
My SO's father sold his townhome in Plano TX to the local housing authority (which had already bought several others in that complex). So it already is happening.

The issue of changing demographics has come up before. In 2013, the parties redefined the standard for diversity, allowing Asian, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islanders to count toward the 25 percent "white enrollment" threshold. Further changes could be among the proposals in this round of negotiations.
I don't even know how to respond to this much racism. Every group mentioned should be furious.

Let me know when the white flight takes place in Uptown, Garden District, Lower Garden District, or the warehouse district takes place. As of now it seems like a reverse white flight is taking place in these areas.

Where has forced busing actually worked?
No government could have pushed middle class families to the suburbs more efficiently if they actually tried.

This reminds me of the stunt the Austin (Tx) housing authority pulled about its demographics.
Check out Page 4. Under "race," it's split 53 black, 46 white, and "other."
Then next to it is ethnicity, where the housing authority reports "non-Hispanic" as 62 percent, and Hispanic as 37 percent.
To make a long story short, the Austin housing authority was inconsistent in its labeling to make one think half of Austin's housing authority occupants are "white," when in reality most of the "whites" are Mexicans.
(P.S. -- Yes, I am aware that Hispanics are considered Caucasian, but most people don't think like that.)

Hartford is a real dump.
Isn't that where all the Arron Hernandez thuggery went down? I always assumed it was a great place too. Heck northerners always make you think it is so rosy up there.

It isn't called reverse white flight it is called Gentrification.

I guess we all look the same to them.

Please tell me it was east of Coit. I've been pretty nervous about our new areas in Frisco. Our school has no apartment complexes or lower income homes feeding into our school so I'm wondering how they are going to force the economic integration. We do have a homeless kids home feeding in so I think that's helped us.

Can't believe he forgot to mention all the great wide receivers and shooting guards that come from there.

Wow..... people are finally speaking what needs to be said. When we call it out for what it is, then real change can happen. If whites keep moving away, will blacks ever learn to survive without them? Will blacks keep following the whites or start improving their own communities? When they do, we'll have to bus underprivileged white kids into their schools . Now that is a dream of the promise land. But until then, whites want no part of black culture and will move and start new communities . Black could do the same, but rather follow white people and demand handouts
Some of the comments in there are off the chain.

It isn't just happening in urban/suburban areas. Whites are fleeing just about all incorporated communities when they get the chance.
No one wants to live in small towns anymore either, because they are becoming havens of drug abuse, Section 8 housing, etc.
It is happening a lot in this area of South Louisiana. They are moving into the countryside where they can be left the hell alone to live how they want.
