I remember when conservatives were the voice of reasoning and intelligence, didn't just parrot the leader of a cult. In general, I am against foreign aid, except when it directly supports American interests. Mike Johnson was against this bill until he was shown the intelligence reports and was briefed on the position.

As a conservative, I do not believe that everyone who disagrees with my viewpoint is my enemy, or a traitorous turncoat. I see Johnson as in intelligent, principled young man, rising above politics to try to the right thing for America. I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah I don't know who could primary him up here. And I also don't know a single person up here that voted for him that agrees with what he's done since the FBI showed up at Cypress Baptist Church to deal with "the package" and he got the talk.

CNN - Mike Johnson is Churchill

Hey Mikey, I have a scripture verse for you:

Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way. (Luke 6:26)

Mike Johnson just got hit hard. It's an article about what a great speaker he is and how much credit he deserves.
It's from ABC News. I guess it could have been worse. NPR and CNN haven't supported him yet.

How do you know he didn’t do what his constituents wanted?

If you live in Louisiana and you don’t support Johnson move TF out!

The absolute least concerning thing about this. Constituents are idiots

The Democrats are the shadow majority -- GOP is majority in name only, but too fractious to actually accomplish anything without the Dems. This will be true no matter who is holding the speaker's gavel.

Exactly.

The idiots on this board are actively hurting the first time the state of LA has had any sort of power.

I've never said that.

I've said quite often he is the current leader of the GOP.

I don't like giving away money. You can always count on LA electing (and re-electing) skeezeballs
