Alleged altercations do lead to alleged facial injuries.

Well one witness not directly involved has come forward and said there was an altercation. So which is it?

I think there was an altercation. C'mon man. I'm just unsure the level of force was justified. I find it terribly convenient the police is releasing stuff that helps them but then claiming they can't release other things because of "an ongoing investigation." Either release what you can or shut your pie hole. You don't get it both ways.

You can keep bringing the same argument from different angles and with different verbage but it doesnt change that underlying fact.

So, same as you.

If you really cant see the difference between a run of the mill murder investigation and an investigation over a officer involved shooting then I dont know man. I dont know how many ways that obvious difference can be explained. Im not trying to be a dick but its clearly not the same thing. You even admit yourself there was probably an altercation so do you think calling him a murder suspect and naming him is prudent when lives of other officers that were erroneously linked to the shooting in the early going were threatened?

If this guy shot up this young man unjustly I will be the first one calling for the most punishment the law allows. Im not defending any one or trying to take aside as its WAY to early but to not recognize that this is "different" set of circumstances seems a little disingenuous.

I dont think the police would have released anything if the witness wasnt trotted in front of cameras touting the hand up dont shoot narrative.

what I have heard is that he was attacked fired once than fired twice more after he forced the kid out of the car. IF he gets charged with anything it won't be much. But the black community will probably call for the death penalty.

Do folks really believe that he just hopped out of his patrol car and gunned down someone

Yes. Just like people believe that Tony Stewart ran over that guy on purpose.

They are all idiots.

I'm sure. And I think that's part of the problem. And there is where we disagree.

its hard to miss a guy going 100+ MPH at night poor lighting and the guy is walking in the middle of the track being stupid. May he RIP but Tony Stewart was at the wrong place wrong time.

Didn't something similar happen in the Zimmerman trial. They tried to show that the kid was saying help me, and wasn't being the aggressor.

I don't know much behind the story but I would think the eye witness testimony is shaky at best.

If the OP story is true one thing is for certain at one point in the altercation the cop was trying to protect himself. Because of this legally the first shot is justified. (but shooting a kid for being punched is using to much force) The question becomes why did he pull the trigger two more times. (The story i heard is he fired once in the car and twice outside of the car)
