They should also be asking why Democrats can't get whites elected in the south.

It's interesting how Republicans go into seizure when race is ever mentioned but the same people are supporting Ben Carson for president.
Or is it possible that despite the narrative's script, Republicans are far more interested in the person and far less interested in their race or gender than the Leftista/Demo/Obama agenda would have us believe? Mia Love and Tim Scott would be two examples of very qualified persons who also happen to be Black, one a man, one a woman. And Ben Carson, ditto. And Condi Rice.

And yet, isn't it interesting that while the NAACP claims to be a non-partisan group, their post-election press release made no (that is, ZERO) mention of neither Ms. Love nor Mr. Scott's great and historic wins. But look here at this Related link. And this one... The actual NAACP statement. And then... Condi Rice speaks out.
quote:

“We are not race blind. Of course we still have racial tensions in this country. But the United States of America has made enormous progress in race relations and it is still the best place on Earth to be a minority,”
Of course, from the depths of their plantation, the Left/Dems will call her an "Uncle Tom" (or should that be "Auntie Tom?") for this non-Black transgression. Condi said in this same interview...
quote:

"I've been asked many times myself and I say, look I've been black all my life, you don't have to tell me how to be black"
BOOM!!!

I think Tim Scott's reelection was even more significant than Mia Love's election, since it was the result of a statewide election, and it makes him the first Black American elected to the U.S. Senate from a Confederate state since Reconstruction. With Nikki Haley - she was dismissively called a raghead by a fellow Republican the first time she ran for office - in the Governor's mansion, this definitely isn't Strom Thurmond's South Carolina anymore.

Tim Scott's reelection
Mild adjustment to this - Tim Scott had been a US Representative before he was just elected in SC to be their US Senator (for the first time).

Yeah, the Dems only called her a "whore" this time. Progress?

Just like the poster in this thread saying he lives minority Republicans. And they do! Until they leave the plantation like Colin Powell.

Or Michael Steele or JC Watts.

A man who has never run for office and whose lone "qualification" is a speech he made instead of a prayer. And they get furious when race is ever mentioned yet clearly Carson's race is the primary reason for his support. And you're lying if you say differently.

So we all hate Obama only because hes black, but we support Ben Carson only because hes black?

I'm confused. Are we racist or not?

Thanks for the liberal reminder that the only qualifications that matter are being a career politician. Who needs real world experience like owning a business, or say, being a world renowned surgeon, when you have people like the Kennedys who have never had an honest day's work in their lives? We'll pass that reminder to Dr. Carson and kindly implore him to go about his day job saving lives and furthering the field of medical science for the benefit of society. Duly noted.

Do you really want to start comparing the resumes of Carson and Obama before they announced their Presidential runs?

I guess whore and raghead are equally offensive and bigoted slurs, but I think it's worse when it comes from a member of your own party, while politicians expect to get smeared by members of the opposition party.

I really don't understand why the OP has his panties in a bunch over that interview, which was a nice fluff piece as for as I'm concenred. The first Black in anything, politics, sports, entertainment, military, etc., ALWAYS gets asked those kinds of questions. I would have been surprised if Love wasn't asked about being the first Black Republican Congresswoman. At least it wasn't as bad as Doug Williams being asked how long he had been a Black quarterback when he led the Redskins to the Super Bowl.

Yes. It was so disgustingly patronizing, I was embarrassed (as a white person myself) for the 2 CNN anchors, who themselves seemed a little uncomfortable asking - but who were probably being instructed to ask anyway by their unseen handlers.

FYI, Michaela Pereira is Black.

Bastiat is her favorite economist!

Oh if only everyone could read The Obstacle Mistaken for the Cause.

We need more people to understand this as we continue to need less and less human labor.

I would disagree since until recently blacks were not allowed to be part of LDS. Very strong racism in the LDS church.

I didn't realize Love was a Mormon. Ironically, she and Melissa Harris-Perry have something in common. Who woulda thunk?
