Appreciate everything this man did. Still… wish these guys would stay in the shadows, not out of any fear but as a matter of professionalism and principle. Seems like every wannabe non-star and career politician seeks to hog the spotlight and proclaim their own greatness these days. Why follow that path? I prefer heroes who aren’t smiling for the cameras and talking about it. Legends don’t need a movie deal to validate their deeds.

An American Hero and I'm glad he is getting the recognition he so deserves. The military is nervous because they are concerned he will tell the truth about what happened and that might not fit their narrative.

They messed up by giving the seals the credit from the beginning. They even named which seal team carried out the mission. They narrowed the search dramatically and I'm suprised he wasn't identified sooner.

I agree that what they do is extremely difficult and heroic, but the guy knew going in that he was supposed to keep his mouth shut. The Navy has no narrative. The White House might, but the Navy's position is to STFU.
I'm glad that yet another Irish American is proving that we are indeed the master race, but what he's doing is selfish. If everyone else followed suit, we would be weaker as a result.

This is a particular problem that the SEALs have been having in recent years. They can't keep their fricking mouths shut as a matter of professionalism and responsibility - how many books and speaking tours have some of these buttheads had now?
Why can't they just shut the frick up and go on with their business?
