TAORMINA, Italy (Reuters) – Asked about reports that Donald Trump’s son-in-law had tried to set up a secret channel of communication with Russia before the president took office, U.S. National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said that so-called “back-channeling” was normal.

McMaster declined to speak specifically about the case of Jared Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to Trump, but when asked if it would concern him if someone in the administration tried to set up a back channel with the Russian embassy or the Kremlin, he replied “no”.

“We have back-channel communications with any number of individual (countries). So generally speaking, about back-channel communications, what that allows you to do is communicate in a discreet manner,” McMaster said.

“So it doesn’t pre-expose you to any sort of content or any kind of conversation or anything. So we’re not concerned about it.”

Makes sense, McMaster wasn't ever going to listen to a word out of Kushner's mouth anyway he'll just wait until the FBI helps Jared follow his father to Federal prison.

The back-channeling he is talking about is through the IC, not what Kushner was doing. If it was normal he would have addresses Kushner's thing directly.

The most readily apparent is lying about contacts with foriegn officials on his clearance forms, just like Sessions amd Flynn- this is a crime that normal people don't get a free pass on.

He isn't selling secrets. You know better. There IS a charge called conspiracy, and THAT is what the Dems, the media and the IC are engaging in.

then charge all of Washington DC for 'espionage'; for backchanneling with all of the lobbyists of many countries overseas.

Espionage is an inane statement regarding this. Yet, on the other side of the coin you denounce POTUS Obama committing political espionage utilizing the IC and IRS as oppo research, no?

That is simply not true. Probably the most famous and most effective back channel in American history was created and held by Henry Kissenger, Secretary of State for Nixon, with the Russians. The more you study it, the more you realize Kissenger and his Russian counterpart kept us from violence during the Cold War.

The only part of this story that should give anyone pause is that Kushner started this process prior to Trump being sworn in. But even that isn't Earth shattering.

Five Decade Presidential back channel with Cuba

WaPo actually references Nixon-Russia back channel in February

You give us gals a bad name. What do you think about HRC's comeback and that she is running again?

The above article...

HRC: 'yes people have said they want me to go the eff away and launching Chelsea failed. But I am not giving up. I would have won if not for Comey.'

Is Jared's dad's cell mates with Chelsea's father-in-law, Edward Mezvinsky? If you're going to be fair, be fair.

Google:

So you're saying JK is guilty of espionage? Against his own country or are you saying he works for the Russians against the U.S? Either way, that would be treason, no?
