Not really Saint...the night of the election this board was split. A segment hates McDaniel's religiosity...another his Tea Party affiliation...another have an economic interest re his threat to start cutting pork...and of course, the ever-present racism crowd. All chimed in with a course of mud-wallow pragmatism in support of good-old-boy Cochran. Voter fraud...means to an end. Not a problem.
The only think that will stop this runaway train will be when that Credit bubble pops. Then the finger pointing. And then God only knows what. The '08 scare...minus any credit fix.

Thad Cochran just posted the following on FB. (He's gained a 1,000 votes)
quote:
Yesterday, the Mississippi Republican Party State Executive Committee submitted its certified results of the June 24 run-off election to the Secretary of State. Senator Cochran gained nearly 1,000 votes relative to the results from election night and the total result was 194,932-187,265. We are providing updated information from the ballot box reviews conducted today in courthouses across the state. This is not a full report from all 82 counties; it is an updated list we received tonight from our county representatives. Final results will be sent once all examinations are complete.
Two important facts to remember when viewing this information: First, there is no way to know who the questioned voter cast their ballot for; a questioned vote is not synonymous with a vote for Senator Cochran. Second, these are simply votes that are questioned, it does not mean they are definitively improperly cast votes. As you will see, the numbers contained in this review are drastically lower than the wild claims made by the McDaniel campaign.
The bottom line: Senator Cochran's victory was certified today and was in excess of 7,600 votes. These are specifics, and we urge the media to demand the same level of specificity from the McDaniel campaign.

This McDaniel character sounds like a grade a douchebag... Hasn't every claim his campaign has made turned out to be a lie?
Translation: Damn, this guy just has to make sure things are being played by the rules. What a sore loser! Rules are for schmucks

I really don't know anything about him. I'm just going off of what I have read on here. He sounds like a huge whiney bitch. His camp has put out multiple stories about fraud that have all ended up being false and then he goes out begging for money with a stupid fricking letter.
My thoughts exactly. If you have evidence of actual voter fraud, present the evidence, otherwise STFU and take your loss like a man.

Care to provide a link of what exactly has been proven wrong so far?
You are just parrotting the anti-McDaniel speculation

No, the burden of proof is on the one making the accusation. If he has proof, he should come forward with it. He hasn't. He's only found questionable ballots, which doesn't necessarily mean they are fraudulent. He is speculating they are fraudulent, which is terribly irresponsible and reeks of desperation.

Yes they have. Here's the reason. They would rather have Thad in MS than risk having the US senate still in dem hands.
To me, it's as bad as the liberal democrats. Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth. Don't hold a moral position and make the dems subject to it and not go by it yourself.
How many people here have we seen say that illegal votes should be stopped?

There it is. I'd sleep with Hillary to see Reid run out of town and Select Committees investigate Holder/Obama/etc.

Yes that's true but he has to show that enough voters really did that (and probably show who they voted for which will be almost impossible except for absentee ballots). My prediction is he won't win a court battle.
No, I don't believe he does. In Mississippi, I don't think you have to show the outcome would likely have changed to get the election tossed.

It's my understanding that's what McDaniel plans to do.

If McDaniel becomes the nominee for the General...and loses...and Reid stays in power.......there will be a MELTDOWN.
But what the hey...with nuclear war in the ME and QE shooting blanks...it's only a matter of time anyway. Before we have to get REAL up there...and git'r done.

At this point its not parties, but candidates who will make a difference in Washington
McDaniel will make a difference, Cochran won't, the GOP won't

That's really not much of a sacrifice there RCD. Now if you said you would have sex with her I'd consider you a true patriot for the cause.

A Republican who cares more about re-election than integrity is no better than a tax and spend Democrat. And they'll both take all your money.

You caught that huh, HT. I should have knew this board would.
I might could go the 'missionary' deal...but knowing Hillary...she'd demand the oral version. Screw that; let the scoundrels get rich and the revolution begin!

seems to be something missing there, they can't seem to see the forest for the trees. Reminds me of kramer asking where the meat goes the 2nd time

I'm sure he does, but the rhetoric his campaign has used has already convinced people that voter fraud is the only reason he lost.

McDaniel is proving that he cares much more about himself than the people of MS. He just can't believe he lost. I'm sure he'd been dreaming about the next six years in DC.
Now it's "if I can't have it no one can"
He's brought the scum of the earth down here to stir shite up and fabricate story after story.
I bet they won't find 1000 questionable votes. Even if the do, they won't know if they were cast for Thad or McD. And if they throw the election out, he will get destroyed in a re-election. Thad hasn't lost any support in the last few week. People are jumping ship on McD. The crying about the blacks will only motivate more to keep McD on the losing side.
He knows he can't win. He just wants to ruin things for Thad to "send a message".

McDaniel has Thad by the balls. He is in complete control of whether Thad wins or looses. Cochran should be offering McDaniel anything he wants if McDaniel will back Cochran.
