Hey dumbass his agenda isn't getting done because of cowards in Congress and the number of people in Washington who hate trump.

I'm calling it right now.

They will try to squeeze some extra legislation into the ACA repeal bill which will cause it to fail.

I hope so - they will reveal themselves as bloody hypocrites if they don't duplicate their 2015 vote

The Senate chamber will smell like fish that day.

Money.

Congress' gravy train wants this shitbag of a law to stick around. Enough Senators are bought and paid for. I think McConnell is among them.

F no. Without the nuclear option first, a straight up vote needs 60 senators, it's an out, they're still trying to F us all the way they always have.

The 2015 bill should have been brought to the floor about 5 seconds after Trump finished swearing in

That it wasn't was rank incompetence

If they can pass Obamacare through "reconciliation," it can be repealed through reconciliation.

Hiding from the voters. Trying to get past the midterm elections without having done squat.

Not a terrible idea. Would ensure Obamacare gets repealed while giving insurance companies time to plan and implement new policy to minimize short term damages to individuals

Will be interesting to see what happens.

Well it will mostly likely fail. Caputo and collins are already out against it. I can't imagine Heller and Murkoswki signing up for it.

But they might get it to fail with 49 votes so they can say they tried.

It's smart to do it with a 2 year delay IF they come up with an awesome replacement in next 2 years.

There won't be enough satisfied Republicans with that outcome for that to be a satisfactory endpoint. They probably think it will be enough to "try." They've misjudged their disconnect with hoi polloi for some time now, though.

I completely agree that it won't be enough to satisfy many republicans. But if it fails, they at least have a talking point.

Had Obama not vetoed THIS EXACT BILL in 2015, the two year delay would be ending this year.

How are Republicans doing with coming up with a valid replacement in that 2 year window?

Does their inability to devise anything approaching a workable plan over the last 2 years give you confidence that they'll have more success in the next 2 years?

Hating trump has zero to do with it

The status of current and recent gop proposals is entirely about the perceptions of gop senators about the bill and if they can be reelected running on this bill. Collins and r Paul are against current version for different reasons.

Unfortunately none of the Jackasses voting no on repeal are up for re-election in '18.

No. Repeal so you can run on repeal in 2018, without any consequences for the total failure your replacement will be for most Americans.

All praise, no blame.

This isn't a coincidence and it's also why there's isn't a vote.
