McConnell has no well-crafted plan for trial rules. Kentucky voters need to dump this guy. A new Dem senator would be less dangerous than this swamp creature.

Apparently the Senate has not defined rules for the Senate Trial. Pretty much as loose and arbitrary as the House.

YouTube video of McConnell waffling on impeachment rules:

Great, don’t tell them the rules till they show up and decline their witnesses.

How about the following rules: federal court?

Robert's presides as Judge. Dems get an attorney. Republicans get an attorney.

Robert's will be issuing a lot of "Sustained. Strike the witness' testimony.' to the continuous call of,"Objection. Hearsay." from Trump's attorneys.

Dumping the most effective and dangerous tactician and Senate Majority Leader ever in Republican history for a democrat is one of the most stupidest and retarded things I've ever heard of. Mitch's knowledge of how government works and how to operate the senate is unrivaled today and the only people that could match his skill are currently six feet under.

Mitch has stated time and time again that he can't see a scenario where the senate convicts Trump and he will make sure that never happens as long as polls show heavy republican voter opposition to impeachment.

Furthermore, look at his campaign account. LINK

A quick browse shows you that it is not the look of a Republican Majority Leader that has any intention of allowing a Republican President to be removed from office.

swamp creatures and there is plenty more, sadly

To all those wanting a full blown impeachment so the real bad guys can get caught and testify. There is no way in hell they will allow them to. Turtle should just dismiss the faux impeachment. He won't, his wife is a Chinese honeypot.

McConnell is a brilliant tactician. His plan will be to drag this out as long as humanly possible. He will drag every one on the Democrat filth into the trial and put them under oath. This will not go well for the Democrats since they’re all a bunch of liars.

Believe in the Turtle all you like.

I don't trust that old Swamp creature. Never have. He's closer to Romney and the McCainites than to Trump - by a mile. He's Uniparty

Thats nice and all, but he needs to show commitment to exposing and pushing for prosecution of the people involved in this hoax.

There are Standing Rules for the Senate for an Impeachment Trial.

They can be modified by a majority vote, but to say they do not exist is bullshite.

President Trump just wrote the foreword in Mitch's new book about his life and what he really thinks about the senate, the house, key political figures, and relevant political topics.

Trump is way closer to Mitch and has a much better working relationship with him than he ever had with Paul Ryan.

You seriously believe that McConnell is NOT a Never-Trumper?

What makes you say that? I may have not made myself clear.
I don't trust him at all.

My mistake.

I read your comment (incorrectly) to mean that you believed that McConnell would actually follow through on the points you mentioned.

I just updated my list of dumbest post by a “Republican”. Congrats, this one is high up.

He won’t always agree with Trump but Cocaine Mitch has done tremendous in one of the most important functions as a Senate leader: confirming conservative judges.

Good as place as any I suppose...Nothing will happen to anybody! The house will impeach...the senate will acquit with a quickness. They all (99%) of them have dirty money on their hands...Republicans, democrats, independents, black, white, etc, etc, etc, it will be business as usual. Democrats will continue to harass Trump... they all will continue to enrich themselves.

If you watched that video and were not deeply concerned with McConnell's cavalier attitude toward this disastrous upcoming Senate trial, then you are likely as wishy-washy as McConnell.

McConnell has sabotaged Trump too many times to count.

Trump will be removed. Too many never trumpers in the senate to trust them on anything, they’re just as corrupt and guilty as the Dems and they’d rather lose power than go to jail, so they have to get rid of Trump
