I assume the majority of voting Americans who voted for Clinton still care about it. So does the Special Prosecutor and his staff. I know this board doesn't care. But maybe it's not an accurate sampling.

Definitely one of the advantages the Dims have over Repubes is the criminal experience needed to cover up their crimes. I knew there are plenty of Republican weasels but they're mere novices in high level government shenanigans.

And it will accomplish squat! Any hopes or dreams you have of this bearing criminal fruit are as pointless as hoping Bush is locked up for war crimes, or Holder is locked up for running guns. It's nothing but political blue balls for you people, but I guess some people just enjoy the tease. But, on the other hand, this story has provided clear and perfect examples of what journalism has become today. And how few journalists still exists. The gay commie from The Guardian has had, by far, the best "reporting" on the real Russia story.

I'm not a Trump voter. Don't even really like him. Have no desire to defend him. The story is still a loser and no one cares outside of "the resistance" and the Beltway. There is so much legitimate criticism to make, yet this is the direction "the resistance" takes? It's not surprising they can't seem to win elections anymore. Between identity politics and chasing the tail known as Russia, we're going to be stuck with a shitty GOP majority in congress forever.

I'm literally shaking! I hope the government doesn't see my notebooks from home. I'm sure I have a page with words near other references that could make me look guilty of something without tangible proof.

I'm interested, but until the indictments come down it's all circumstantial leaks that can be easily brushed off / seized on depending on your preconceptions.

Disagree Iosh.

The slater stuff regarding trump tower and Moscow is the biggest story of the whole investigation and was only given little press because of Harvey

Do you truly expect something substantive to come from this that would result in real damage to the White House?

I don't know that it's big. It's more bizarre than anything else. How does building Trump Tower Moscow help you win an election in the US?

Sauces also indicate a giant dickbutt was drawn near a reference to OP and Obama

I don't know, honestly. Flynn and Manafort are fricked, but beyond that I couldn't even assign a probability.

At the time he sought the deal that wouldn't have been the intent on either the Trump side or the Russian side. In early fall 2015 when this was starting Trump was widely expected to go the way Herman Cain, Michele Bachman, and Newt went in 2012 - a fall in the polls as Republican voters moved from "flirting with" populist protest candidates to "getting engaged" with their establishment nominee. I suspect Trump saw his campaign as likely to fail but able to monetize the run with PR.

The problem happened when he actually kept his lead and won the nomination. By that time he'd soft-pedaled rhetoric about Russia while trying to put himself in hock to Putin for hundreds of millions it was going to take to finance the tower (VTB bank, the would-be lender is >60% owned by the Russian government itself). Once so compromised, it theoretically gets harder to say no when Russians come calling again.

they found the word "donations" on a piece of paper.

...near...

a reference to the RNC.

Didn't Hilldawg out spend Trump like by over 200% and still lost. You would think if Mueller was really interested in chasing down questionable donations, wouldn't it be a lot easier if they looked at the Clinton Crime Foundation's donations from the Uranium One deal, from Saudi Arabia, from China, etc.
