So, 1 you're inferring that Trump's investigation in the birth cert was BS, which it was, didn't even happen.
2. There are at least 4 different investigatory arms looking into those involved with the campaign.

Yeah, that's usually how it works. Leaks are planned and calculated and are often used to send a message to witnesses or the target(s) of the investigation. I would guess every leak from this investigation has been approved by Mueller.

Right, in a perfect world we wouldn't have leaks of ongoing criminal investigations.
I don't know if it's illegal in this specific case. But I do know it's legal for witnesses to discuss whatever they talked about to the grand jury.
