Only slaves in states in rebellion.

Slavery was not officially ended until the 13th amendments ratification, which to be fair Lincoln did push for.

They found out Lincoln was racist?

You cannot use the record to prove that Lincoln was racist.

"But as soon as President Lincoln saw me I was relieved of all embarrassment. In a loud voice, so that all could hear, and looking toward me, he said, “And here comes my friend, Frederick Douglass!” [Good! Good!] I had some trouble in getting through the crowd of elegantly dressed people to Mr. Lincoln.

When I did succeed, and shook hands with him, he detained me and said, “Douglass, I saw you in the crowd today, listening to my inaugural address. How did you like it?” I replied, “Mr. Lincoln, I must not stop to talk now. Thousands are here, wishing to shake your hand.” But he said, “You must stop. There is no man in the United States whose opinion I value more than yours. How did you like it?” [Applause.] I said, “Mr. Lincoln, it was a sacred effort,” and passed on, amid some smiles, much astonishment and some frowns. And this was the last time that I heard the voice and saw the face and form of honest Abraham Lincoln."

Frederick Douglass, 1876:

"Had he put the abolition of slavery before the salvation of the Union, he would have inevitably driven from him a powerful class of the American people and rendered resistance to rebellion impossible. Viewed from the genuine abolition ground, Mr. Lincoln seemed tardy, cold, dull, and indifferent; but measuring him by the sentiment of his country, a sentiment he was bound as a statesman to consult, he was swift, zealous, radical, and determined."

There were no states in rebellion. They seceded.

From Lincoln's letter to Horace Greeley.

quote:

My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union.

It seems you must have at least 1/2 of an operating brain in order to do so...

Edit: It's a tweet from James Woods: 'Before the liberals find a reason to deface, destroy or degrade this one, I'd like you to get to see it one more time.'

Douglass was among those Abolitionists/Radical Republicans who were upset with Lincoln's seemingly slow pace on slavery , Black troops,etc......

Had Lincoln barreled forward with Emancipation Proclamations, pushing 13th Amendment & allowing Black soldiers to fight day 1 , he fails miserably. Lincoln wisely knows this , Douglass & others came to eventually realize this .

Obama, ValJar, Soro's and the paid thugs must be so proud of the mentality they created.

This might be a good thing. A lot of people that were not decided are going to be able to see how petty the progs grievances really are.
