Well with foreign aid it differs greatly depending on where and why the aid is being given.

I don't know all of them, so I can't really say which ones I think we can get rid of. I do believe that there's a lot of departments that may need to be reworked instead of scrapped.

They don't want to get rid of the military either. They love our wars and other global commitments.

I'm strongly in favor of shrinking the budget for the military. I certainly don't love our wars.

I'd be ok if there was no federal money spent on New Orleans and the Texas and Louisiana Coasts after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. If you live where you know there is a risk of getting obliterated or flooded, you should be on your own. No more disaster assistance from Fema or any federal agency. Who the frick thought it was a good idea to build a city below sea level. I say, let nature reclaim its property. Ditto for Malibu homes that fall off a cliff due to erosion. If a F5 tornado wipes out your town, get by in a lean-to or go visit Cousin Eddy.

That should be a factor when you HAVE money to give the form of foreign aid, but who on Earth borrows money to give it to someone else, under any circumstances? Who other than the USG that is?

Bitch I don't down or upvote anyone, but since you just showed me that you care about up and downvotes I just might start.

If you could outlaw lobbying and "political donations" you could streamline the shite out of a lot of departments.

Government contracting alone could be overhauled to save billions.

The IRS could be smaller by simplifying tax laws and cutting out loopholes.

Well obviously it's not a requirement but in some cases I'd imagine the price is worth whatever it is she get out of it. I know some of y'all just want to go into an isolationist shell but thats irresponsible.

What a terrible troll attempt. Even on this board no one has responded yet. You should be embarrassed.

I am not sure I would eliominate departments but.....I would love to see cuts to

* NSA
* CIA
* FBI
* DEA
* ATF
* Dept of agriculture
* Medicare
* Social Security
* Dept of transportation
* PBS - that shite needs to be eliminated

I think I could easily trim a 1/3 of the budget.

Although that probably doesn't make me a liberal, and I dont really identify as a liberal nor would the majority of my beliefs be labeled as a liberal.
