In fairness, both parties are run by coastal elites that probably consider my state an inconvenient spot on the map that does nothing but adds distance to their private flights from NY/DC/Boston to LA/SF.
I imagine liberal in power look at blacks that vote republican the same way that republicans in power look at evangelical rural whites that vote democrat.

IMO and as odd as it sounds...that narrative has essentially been embraced from the GOP...and when you throw in their history of social conservative issues = not a winning brand.
I feel as if that image is starting to sway a little bit though.

i used to love thomas sowell. dude is very insightful, he has a lost a bit of that in the "everything obama sucks" thought process in the republican party right now.

I think most of what obama does suck, I would give him a D on his presidency so far. But even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And republicans are blinded by hate so much that they can't see it.

I would still buy black conservatives in DC a drink. Doubt it would cost me 3 figures.
