I haven’t paid much attention to the Ms governor’s race. Is this a desperation move by Presley, or are republicans in Mississippi really stupid enough to pull a Louisiana and vote for a democrat over an unpopular republican?
He has also said that he would expand Medicaid on day one. Stupid democrats believe he can do that. We have had but one statewide office held by a democrat (Attorney General Jim Hood) but he won several terms. Other than him, none in years. As popular as he was, he was not able to beat Tate. Tate is over playing it a bit and I think it will be close but Presley is not well known other than the north part of the state. His office (Public Service Commissioner) is one of 3 and he serves the north but represents the whole state.

BTW, I'm beginning to loathe Republicans as much as Democrats, but for a completely different reason.

Not really

Mississippi GOP has
quote:

Governor
Seats in the U.S. Senate 2 / 2
Seats in the U.S. House of Representatives 3 / 4 Seats in the Mississippi Senate 36 / 52
Seats in the Mississippi House of Representatives 76 / 122
Last time Mississippi voted for the democrat Nominee was Jimmy Carter

I can tell you this much, I live and vote in the Sip and I’m probably not voting of Tate. He’s lied to me about the flag and I’m still not happy with the way he let Dr Dobbs run the whole covid deal. I’m not saying I’m voting democrat because that will never happen but I might just sit this one out! And I can tell you there are a lot that feel the same way.

Well don’t take it personally.. but you and a lot of others are fools.

If it were up to you….. you would let a damn lib walk into the governor’s mansion because of the state flag?

You would really want your state taxes to jump to pay for expansion of Medicaid?? All because of a state flag??

You would want the governor of this state to pick up the phone and take commands from national libs because of Covid??

What about Dobbs being the catalyst to overturn Roe v Wade??

JFC.

Remind me who controls all branches of the Mississippi government? I'll help you out. Republicans do. So why isn't the education system better? Surely they have the solution and can change that. Right?

I don’t take it personal. But I’m past the point of voting for the lesser of the two evils. You want my vote, put someone up there worth voting for. Otherwise you are all going down with me

It’s not about the flag, it’s about lying and if it’s what it takes to wake others up then so be it

Would be self-defeating in my view. Could anyone actually vote for someone who uses this unironically to describe themselves?

Check out the demographics of well performing schools and poor performing schools. Carve out the delta and democrat controlled school districts and recalculate the numbers. Ayers right or wrong destroyed the public universities allowing people who have no business in college qualify.
