You're right. He would never fire Kushner or Ivanka but the man wouldn't think twice about making either one of them an assistant to the press secretary if it meant having a functional and productive White House.

Some of y'all really overstate Kushner's role. He's just a little boy who gets to hang out with the big kids. He doesn't actually make any decisions or policy.
