None. I'm just saying that western civilization not inherently better, but rather better in certain objective, measurable ways. This perspective (a) gives us more credit as a society (or group of societies) and (b) implies that we have to keep earning it by making good decisions.

I sort of get what you mean, but it seems counter productive in a way. Objective reality is not a perspective. To not point out a method of life, it's principles, and ongoing contribution to the betterment of all mankind, is sort of a form of enabling imo.

it's flat out dangerous.

I just wonder how many of these people who are inflicted with "white guilt" can be turned around?

I'll not go with your premise that portrays a race as a collective unit with a monolithic concern.

If it's wrong then you should easily be able to point out at least one race of people today who have not nor could ever conceivably be concerned about their race dying out.

You can't though because that group does not exist. So to apply your stance equally then all who are concerned about the survival of their own race must be racists.

"Race" and "culture" aren't the same thing; the very idea that they are is racist.

Once again I find myself asking for you to provide proof where I've said something you've attributed to me.

Almost. Such a concern is racist, but calling someone a racist is something I'm not in a position to do, certainly in this context.

It is. It's not up for debate.

Key phrase there, IMO. Doesn't mean physical appearance, but it does mean our western cultural values should be similar.

Yeah, you're right. I retract my previous concern.

I mean, I haven't heard the whole thing, just what I gleaned from the quote. Seems that folks are quick to twist it one way or another (and the way he worded that left it a little open to such perversions).

Russia up until recently, was never a western nation. Their economic system was not western, their form of Christianity is radically different than all other Christian sects.

So essentially, the white Christian Russians were inferior to the European Whities, since their religion, culture, and geography are different than Europe's, which has a history of warfare, persecution, and exploitation.

I thought it was the Sumerians, which is Iraq today. I don't know what Sumerians looked like though.

Didn't the Arabs discover the concept of zero?

It depends on what you mean by writing. Separate distinct alphabets were developed independently in 4 civilizations in the Bronze Age.

The actual digit zero was developed in the Gupta Empire in India and moved to the West through Islamic transmission, as much of early Islamic learning was Greek (Umayyad empire was Greek-Speaking and Abbasid empire was obsessed with Greek manuscripts).
