King defends controversial tweet: 'I meant exactly what I said'

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) on Monday defended a weekend tweet endorsing the views of a far-right Dutch politician.
"Well, of course I meant exactly what I said," King told CNN's "New Day."

"It's a clear message," King said on Monday. "We need to get our birth rates up or Europe will be entirely transformed within a half century or a little more. And Geert Wilders knows that and that's part of his campaign and part of his agenda."
King went on to criticize illegal immigration to the United States and immigrants who don't "assimilate into the American culture."
"Living in enclaves, refusing to assimilate into the American culture and civilization. Some embrace it, yes. But many are two and three generations living in enclaves that are pushing back now and resisting against the assimilation," he said.
King also emphasized his view that "Western civilization" is "a superior civilization."
"I'd like to see an America that's just so homogenous that we look a lot the same, from that perspective," he said.

Why is it controversial to think that it's a bad thing that white people are going extinct and that things need to change?

There was a reason why white people invented western civilization and are the only ones that really practice it in its purest form.

Omg. I cannot believe it. When I read his tweet yesterday I wondered how long it would take for him to apologize and say he didn't mean it. I am pleasantly surprised.

White guilt is a bitch and is what is holding a lot of people back.
You never see asians have this problem because they're actually proud of their heritage, history and how they strive to protect their homogeneity.

I think his phrasing could have been better, but his point still stands. Islams goal is on a completely different timeline than our own. Muslims believe in Sharia Law. In order to be a Muslim you have to believe in Sharia. Without question this gets passed on to the following generations. How can Liberals not see what's going on in Europe?
The Netherlands is now suppose to live under the threat of Erdogen and his 100,000's of supporters in the Netherlands? It's madness, these people hate Western Democracy and have zero loyalty to these countries. Muslims don't assimilate and are hostile. Moreover, they are using the tools of Democracy to challenge and undermine these governments.

Racism is never ever going away and is practiced by people of all races. Human history has always been a contest of survival of the fittest for all races and who can succeed the most. That's technically racism. Whites and asians have won bigly throughout history. Asians are still going strong but whites are in a bit of a slump right now with declining birth rates and letting their societies be polluted violent 3rd world filth.
