What a fricking sham.

I saw a meme about this the other day.

Lie to the government go to jail. Show that the government is lying to everyone, you still go to jail.

You can lie to gov't without going to jail. Our leaders do that all the time.

Government official lies to the people, pleads the 5th, gets sent home with continuing pay and retirement intact.

This is sad if you ask me.

But I'm not fully informed either, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

He's lucky they didn't find him guilty of aiding the enemy, in which case he could have been executed.

The military would never go there, though. Too much backlash.

I agree. Especially when the "news" cptbengal has been posting about Obama aiding and abetting the Muslim Brotherhood becomes common knowledge...

He'll be out before the end of Clinton's second term so I doubt she'll ever get around to pardoning him

Plus he doesn't have Marc Rich money so I doubt if the Clintons would get involved.

How so? This is Federal stuff. I seriously doubt he serves less than 80% of his time.

He has to serve 1/3, he's given credit for time served and he'll get more time off for good behavior.

Everything I'm seeing is placing it at about 8.5 years. He'll be 33.

You think they will seriously cut him loose after 8-10 years? I understand what the guidelines are but I find it unlikely that, based on charges, that he'll get out early. Sadly, I think the Judge knew this and gave him a shot to be free before he dies.

That's implied

Interesting question now is when will Wikileaks dump its Manning insurance files???
