Great decision. Been clean for 4 months and 4 days myself. No alcohol or tobacco in any form. No energy drinks. Feel amazing.

Crazy to think 4 months ago I was practically a zombie until I had a pinch of Skoal Mint and a Red Bull when I sat down to work. Then Zyns and espresso to keep me buzzing after lunch.

I don't think I know a single person who does this. How do you even get started?

Good for you. I stopped Copenhagen 4 years ago. I do the On 4 mg. Better than what the Copenhagen was doing although when I dipped I never had a problem with worms or long relationships.

I quit 2 years ago cold turkey after 16 years dipping hard.

One thing I've noticed since quitting is how disgusting, trashy, and obnoxious dipping is. I can't believe I used to spit wintergreen flavored motor oil into a cup and think it was socially acceptable.

Switch your dip store to the 76 across from the publix there in beachwalk. The prices are obnoxiously high, even by pvb standards, you'll want to quit.

I would never downvote such an excellent decision.

A friend had to have most of his left lower jaw removed thanks to that stuff. Hope you figure out how to stop it.

After 35 years , had to quit two years ago after a bad work accident, they frown on dipping in the hospital lol

Back off and Smokey Mountain Herbal have been great tools for me.

I will probably go to my grave still liking the taste of fine cut natural, but so far I haven’t touched the stuff.

Good luck baw. Hope you're able to kick it.

I quit in 2012 or so. After about 2 weeks the cravings start going away but you still want something in your mouth. I replaced dip with dick and it helped me stay off. The dick eventually led to me getting hooked on zyn, though.

I quit dipping back in January and went with the Zyn pouches. It has helped me and when I feel a craving for a dip, I just put two pouches in.

Perspective is a funny thing….you dip opening up yourself to a litany of heal concerns, not to mention all of the money you’ve wasted but somehow, you get the nerve to call others freaks.

What helped me quit Skoal over 10 years ago was Hall's menthol cough drops. I did it cold turkey but in hindsight I should have tapered off with pouches. As several have mentioned ITT, I've heard good things about Zyn.

Stopped dipping 13 years ago. Copenhagen strait was my pinch of choice. Used patches to get off of it. Worked great for me.

Noticed how expensive that stuff has now gotten the other day. Yikes.

Try snuff. The real kind you actually sniff

Apparently it’s the healthiest form of tobacco use

Good for you! I had a grandfather with a Stoma from throat cancer and relative with tongue cancer. The impact of tobacco is generally not a good thing. Hang in there!

I went to the hosptital with my cousin, who's husband was diagnosed with throat cancer about 6 or 7 years ago. He was 52. They had already performed the primary surgery, but the tumor came back more aggresive and there was nothing to be done.

I went with her for support ( my mom asked me to) for them as the doctors were going to deliver this expected bad news to them. I sat there in a room with my cousin, her husband who was all bandaged up from the neck up and could only grunt, and the doctor.

Doctor had to tell this dude they were pretty much sending him home to die. He got pretty emotional, and animated, and started grunting trying to talk.. He was pretty damn drugged up, but he knew what the doctor was telling him. Talk about a real freaking life moment to witness... it was rough.

I think my mom had me do that to help me quit dipping. I kept dipping. But that shite stuck with me of course.

I posted earlier I.switched over to Black Buffalo a few months ago. I'm 51 now. Glad I'm doing this.

As you hit around 40-45, you quickly realize you're hitting the age where bad things start to happen. We lose that invulnerable feeling we had from youth very quickly.
