OP's author has a laughably naive understanding of...well...everything.

It's time to go bye.
If you look at California.
If you took the Navy out of San Diego and Army out of FT Irwin those areas would lose a lot of income.
Most of the businesses in California that produce a good or service are leaving going to Arizona or elsewhere. Movie industry in California is even hurting. The taxes and regulations in blue states are chasing businesses away to red states.

Agreed.

I love it. Y'all have finally become states' rights conservatives.

You see about 3 states, two of which are conservative. Orange County is one of the most conservative places in America. The Valley is agricultural Mecca. The mountains and woods north of Nappa all the way to Oregon already think of themselves as Jefferson - the 51st state. The reasons it's such a blue state are the Bay Area, the Los Angels basin minus Orange County, and to a lesser extent, San Diego. Essentially, just the coast. If California ever broke away it would then break up, and in the process, Los Angeles would lose its water supply, which is piped in clear across the state. Would be hilarious.

Hillary carried Orange County by a 53%-42% margin over Trump. The county used to be Republican but it's steadily becoming more mainstream in its voting patterns.

My goodness this thread is a classic example of Progressive stupidity. I love this so much.

Do it.

Then we can send all the blue voters over to you as well. You won't like the results, I promise you. Your entire area will be Detroit before you know what hit you. We will point and laugh while you cry for something else.

Calling it like I see it. The OP goes against facts and all common sense. Please, support the OP's argument. I'll wait.

Thank you! Now, no bleeding over into red state America when your socialist utopia collapses. You folks starve, kill each other, eat each other if you must.

This shouldn't be a problem, since you guys are going to do socialism right, for the first time in the history of mankind.

Yup, lived in an area around LA and then left after I retired.

A lot of the areas around LA, use to be good middle class areas. They had great schools, good services, a lot of middle class retailers, and crime was low for middle class area.
Now some towns are having financial problems as the illegals have moved in while middle class that paid the taxes has moved out. Schools are going down, retailers moving out, city services are going down, and crime is up. I am glad I sold my house when I did.

When you cut the hand off that feeds you one of two things can happen.
1. Learn to feed yourself
2. You starve

You wouldn't know socialism if it hit you square in the face.

It's uncanny how the Far Right denounces mainstream political thought and everything that doesn't conform with their image of a narrow, rightist America as "socialism".

No, it's not mainstream political thought. Which is why you have a Republican in the whitehouse, Republicans holding both the House and Senate, majority of the governerships and majority of state legislatures.

GTFO with that "mainstream thought" shite.

How can you call it that if the Democrats are a minority in nearly every governmental body?

Yeah, about as uncanny as democrats declaring marxism/socialism "mainstream political thought."

The fact that liberals actually believe shite like in the OP always amuses me

It's like public admission that they don't understand ANYTHING about the social dynamics involved.
