It's clear that the US is facing an undeniable cultural event horizon.

I've seen enough! The country is getting dangerously close to having a distinct and irreversible cultural divide. I fear open dialog and politics will not be enough to quell the civil unrest that the rabid left has decided to implement in an attempt to preserve their cultural bubble that they believe is about to be popped. If the Progressives are to be stopped it will take a substantial counter force from all concerned citizens.

At what point does the POTUS have the right to declare their uncivil tactics a clear and present danger to the US and take the necessary measures to enforce law and order. Has the extreme left (Progs) taken their displeasure of the POTUS to a level where they are close to becoming enemies of the state?

Remember, the oath taken by our enlisted soldiers is to protect the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC!

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

The POTUS takes the Presidential Oath,

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

These oaths cover part of my preceding statement (enemies of the state) because of the Constitution.

The Progressive movement has its origins firmly rooted in communism, communism that has been passed off as socialism to a naive and brain washed public for the past 50-60 yrs. We now are looking at 2 generations of indoctrination into this poison ideology and the Progressives have 80% of the US population that is under age 40 in their control.

You know it's true, hell Bernie was more popular than HRC and he's closer to a communist than he is a socialist but I'm splitting hairs, either one of these ideologies will suck the life out of the US.

Pray for the USA and the POTUS that my concerns never come to pass.

What can you do? What can one person do? Well, how about contact a local Veterans organization and see how you can help that organization. All of them donate money that they fund raise back into their communities. I know of one that bought some K9 dogs and armor vests for local law enforcement.

Once people of like mind work together in real life, these Soros funded radical revolutionary leftists can't win this political civil war.

Until there is an active assault on the government itself, anything he would possibly do (active measures) would be impeachable and unconstitutional. This is not a dictatorship. If they want to protest, let them. When the get violent, arrest them (this actually needs to be done, but ultimately is up to local law enforcement unless they ask for federal assistance). It's why Trump won anyway.

You want Big Brother (in this case, Your Daddy) to take care of you.

Lemme guess, you consider yourself a "conservative."

Yet when the fascist radical right is in power you go silent.

Why do you hate America so much?

Domestically speaking it wouldn't bother me, but I worry about splitting our influence and power from a foreign standpoint and giving up our super power status.

And it isn't a left/right issue. That's what the OP fails to address.

I think federally, we could do more to subdue these violent and destructive protestors. Not a constitutional scholar, but surely our freedoms do no go so far as to allow the destruction of our form of government through lies, violence and destruction of property.

Not enough. 4 or 5 would work better. New England, West coast, deep south, midlands would be ideal.

Imo they have taken the 1st Amendment to far. I'm all for someone having the right of free speech and right to lawfully assemble but these jackasses are toeing a thin line on that. The airport protest are a prime example. They were protesting at airports! The airport and airlines didn't do anything. The people using the airport to travel didn't do anything. So why do these people feel it's ok to block access and disrupt everyone's travel?

Any impromptu protest that end up blocking of streets or in other way hindering people from going to and from should be met with authority. Allowing this shite to continue will only embolden them to continue this behavior of encouraging lawlessness and chaos

It's an economic event horizon, and there's a very high probability that it's already been crossed. Most people simply don't have the time or energy to figure out what's driving macro events, so they accept whatever propaganda suits their personal situation. Nobody in power will ever come out and say, "Folks, we're bankrupt", so the great majority won't ever figure this out as the country goes down the tubes.

Dude, get a life!

The South is irrelevant, now that the conservative movement no longer needs it to win elections. Your Southern Baptist Convention and Evangelical regional cult is losing influence everywhere else, and the Great Lakes makes for a better region to lead the conservative movement. Southern whites are unhealthy losers that other right-minded conservatives want nothing to do with. The lefties are not a threat and you aren't going to do anything to stop it, so stop buying into the media hype about some growing tidal wave of leftists that doesn't even exist in reality. This is the same media-driven idiocy that convinced idiots to buy into the Iraq had WMD's bullshite that lead to a war that will probably turn out to be the biggest mistake in world history.
