Actually, Bush really did win and by quite a bit more than originally thought.

They did an entire recount and his margin widened. The media hardly reported it, though. I remember it at the time and was wondering why it wasn't a bigger news story so that the crazies could stop with their conspiracy theories. I knew the answer, though.

Bush won in every way possible and would have been declared the winner even if the Supreme Court had not stepped in.

It's like they don't know me at all.

I'm just saying that the person who was supposed to win, won. And his successor has done the same shite. And the guy before him did the same shite. The guy after him will, too.

Government is totally corrupt and evil, but when it picks your candidate, it's unassailable and you're being partisan if you disagree.

I'll probably just vote for whatever candidate I've never heard of in the next election. It won't matter, and I won't be responsible for the idiot who runs the country next.

Government, naturally, is going to do whatever it can for itself.

I still have no idea how that election was so damn close. Sure in hindsight, Bush wasn't what we were promised during his campaigned and he largely turned into a big government neocon, but at the time there were few objectively good reasons to vote for Gore. Bush was the overwhelmingly logical choice at the time, far moreso than what we saw in 2004, 2008 or 2012.

I'm pretty firmly in the "government is absolutely useless in nearly every case" camp. I only differ from you in that I think some basic, extremely regulated government is useful.

What? Trolling is a game of moderation. It gets old if used too frequently.

I just want to see Rex's thoughts on this subject. It's sure to be entertaining.

Anyway, Bush had Florida won and the Supreme Court made the right call. Gore was being a sore loser.

Because the elite care so much about what I think, I am toying with the idea of voting several times.

I haven't had time to make plans. I've been told I have to get to 100,000 posts before a certain other poster. The pressure to keep posting and posting and posting is becoming too much to handle.

(I have no plans. Maybe you can come up with something. You're the creative one.)
