did you miss the "beginning stages" part

So, you didn't find it to be the "beginning stages" when every major news outlet save one was COMPLETELY IN THE BAG for one party............

But, NOW, you think we're in the "beginning stages" because the above fact has become readily obvious?

That's very strange.

We've been there a while. The coastal ruling class runs the news media in this country.

And they were always pissed at the prospect of a Trump or Sanders presidency.

That's why they built Trump's brand by giving him full access 24/7.

I consider when the POTUS openly targets and criticizes news agencies that criticize in an attempt to either silence them or turn consumers against them, to be the "beginning stages"

and yes, that includes Obama targeting Fox News

This.

No Trump supporter wants a government run media. We want fact based news reporting and if it's not fact based reporting, we want it labeled as such and not pushed on us like it's fact.

I'm sorry. That's just flagrantly incorrect word choice there.

A President isn't obligated to ignore when media outlets abandon all pretense.

or turn consumers against them
There is absolutely no way CNN can or should be taken seriously at this point.

Same with the NYT and Washington Post.

All of these outlets have made it abundantly clear that their prior attachment to "verifying" information no longer exists. If it's harmful to Trump, it runs...........PERIOD.

Their customers SHOULD turn against them.

That's not state run media no matter what hyperbole you want to go for.

The MSM has taken unfair advantage of the Presidential "aura" for decades in that the POTUS has been expected to just sit there and let the press take pot shots at him. Trump, on the other hand, says "No more Mr. Nice Guy". I think the tweet storms are brilliant. It would be far different today if he hadn't punched back.

Exactly.

If the media gets bad info on Trump and actually does it's fricking job and makes a legit attempt to figure out if the bad info has even a smidgen of legitimacy, have at it.

But for frick's sake. At this point, they've had a PARADE of shite that all but total partisans now realize they didn't verify for shite.

I take the time every day to decipher all the BS that comes out from all media outlets. I consider it a hobby. It even give me a little high of sorts at least feeling like I am moderately informed.

The issue I have is that nearly everyone else doesn't take that time, and only knows what they are told, so when every outlet tries to put their own spin and interpretation on things instead of just giving the information for people to digest themselves, all you get is division among the different viewer/listeners.

So now Trumpophants think it's brilliant that he's distracting you from his continuance of the establishment agenda.

This country is so fricked.

What exactly would have changed if he didn't, other than irrational emotions?

This is why you folks are so easily herded. You honestly believe that the media's job is to tell you the truth. You honestly believe that government exists to serve you.

I can't be sure, but do you also still believe a fat guy slides down every chimney on planet Earth in one night?

Nobody wants state-run news. Many people want to be able to watch news and get an objective take on FACTS.

Nah, very few people want that. Which is why the MSM does what they do. One reason at least.

Where do you get that (incorrect) presumption? If there's any distracting from the "establishment agenda", the Democrats have the monopoly in that department. From Russia.... with Love. XOXO

You don't think it's going exactly as planned, from his Presidential campaign to this very moment?

The joke's on you.

Thanks for illustrating my point.

Hint: Distraction from the "establishment agenda" isn't a left/right issue.
