Posted by Message RollTide1987 Israelis gather, applaud night attacks on Gaza Read through your post and I don't really care what your observations are. Israel is in a state of emergency right now so obviously the country is uptight and suspicious. As for the "mistreatment" of the Palestinians, that's what you get from years of poking the dragon. I have no sympathy.

What would I know? I'm only in israel right now there's no real state of emergency or threat to national security. It's only dangerous if you live in Gaza and are unlucky enough to be hit by an Israeli rocket. If you want, I'll even provide verification that I'm in israel. This is one of the safest if not the safest country in the Middle East. Israel has the strongest military by far.

You hate what you don't understand I think. Only people in Gaza are fighting the Israelis, the people (women, children, etc) are completely innocent so why do they deserve to die because of a few rebels? You should empathize with these people because what's happening to them extremely sad. Two wrongs don't make a right but with israel, they counter every Palestinian wrong with 20 wrongs. I think every American should come to israel so they could see the real situation. Israel is no better than china.

So, because you're in Israel, you have automatically become an expert on the current crisis? Wow. The State Department needs to gobble you up whole and fast track you to the White House. I bet you could write up a complete history of the conflict now.

Please forgive me if I don't take your expertise seriously just because you are presently over there. I bet someone else could fly over there and come away with an entirely different opinion.

The situation in Gaza is tragic. I hate it that these radical Muslims hide behind women and children, I hate it that they have to die for the sins of a few, but such is war. There will be collateral damage. It's just a fact of life.

Jesus Burt, if what you say is true, I might have to rethink some things about this.

I tried to search your post history to see where you stand on certain things and can't find any posts from you on the political board. I'm not doubting what you say, but if you're a lib, I tend to have a hard time believing everything. I've come to the conclusion that most libs don't have a problem with lying to promote their ideas or agenda.

You spend way too much time on the music board my man!

Yea actually it kind of does. Do you think journalists get their stories by wading in pro Israeli ignorant propaganda filth in Alabama like you? No, they go to these countries and ask questions like I'm doing. And yes if you flew over here you would have an entirely different opinion. I guarantee that because it certainly changed mine. Fwiw, I'm not a liberal. I'm a southern libertarian and humanitarian like some of the better posters on this board. I'm doing a round the world trip right now, going to jordan today and Egypt next week.

To answer bhtiger's question. Everything I said was true. I don't usually post on this board because I have the reputation of being a troll/flamer and no one takes what I say seriously but this week I actually have something interesting to say for once.

Thanks for posting this info. Might be the first time I can remember anyone on the poli board posting something that made me rethink my position on a topic.

Gaza Rockets Barrage Israel Readying for Possible Escalation
By Amy Teibel and Calev Ben-David Jul 7, 2014 10:13 PM ET 258 Comments Email Print

Gaza Strip militants bombarded southern Israel with dozens of rockets, sending Israel closer to escalating its battle against them as it stepped up air strikes and mobilized reserves.

About 80 rockets hit Israel from Hamas-controlled Gaza yesterday, reaching as deep as 25 miles (40 kilometers) inside Israeli territory, the military said. The army is reinforcing regular paratrooper and infantry forces on the Gaza border with as many as 1,500 reservists, spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Lerner said in a phone briefing.

I guess Israel just makes propaganda videos of rockets hitting Israel for an excuse to kill Muslims?

NEVER SEEN ONE, but I have seen one of a little boy being shot by the bad Israeli soldiers. The raw footage showed him getting off the gurney and laughing.

Then there was the one on how the Israeli soldiers brutally killed 3 men... turns out they were killed by hamas and used as the event to blame Israel.

So let me get this straight. If an Israeli gets killed by a Hamas rocket, it's the Israeli's fault for not evacuating the area?

I do apologize for not posting in a clearer fashion.

In response to Hamas strikes into civilian areas of Israel, Israel has told the people in Gaza that there will be strikes, and while they are not targeting civilians, there is always the chance that a rocket will go into a civilian area. It urges them to evacuate.

Hamas has told the people of Gaza to stay home. That it is an Israeli ploy. The poor people of Gaza have been brainwashed all of their lives, so not only are they confused they are great tools for Hamas when some of them get killed. Of which Hamas has no problem.

Got it?

So terrorism is really terrorism as long as the terrorists warn civilians to leave the targeted area?

Terrorism is acts of violence against unarmed innocents.

Israel targets military and terror sites. Hamas targets civilian spots. You know places like Pizza Parlors, buses, 3 teenage boys walking home from school, Hotels.
