The Americans didn’t fight in ww2 to help save the Jews. They joined the war only after they were attacked at Pearl Harbor. In fact, Roosevelt refused to bomb the Nazi railroads or the concentration camps to try and slow the murder of Jews because he said it was “a waste of US bombs!” History is a bitch. Maybe the yellow stars worn by the Israeli delegation will make some people remember the consequences of history.

US and USSR troops rolled in and liberated those camps.

The left has a very real Nazi problem

That's because NAZI is a far left ideology. It's a faction of socialism but one uses race while the other uses class.

We need to quit letting the left rewrite the history. NAZI isn't a far right thingy muh jig.

The UN just voted against condemning the terrorist attacks all while there are calls for their genocide all across the globe so I think they are in the right to be pretty pissed off right now

The UN is the most worthless organization on the planet and we should no longer contribute one thin dime to it's budget.

I've said this for years. Has nothing to do with their stance on this subject.

2. Or Africa?
3. Or Taiwan?
4. Most of the west is actually schreeching for your idiot sycophants that buy your BS. We've been the target of your excuses for at least a thousand years.

I understand your emotion, yet Maher can condemn Mike Johnson for his Christian devotion and no one says a thing.

What do we call those who disparage Christianity?
We aren't talking about disparaging the religion itself - we're talking about the calls to actually exterminate all the Jews (rather practicing "believers" or not).

If you can show me where Maher indicated he wanted to literally kill all Christians, then you might have a point.

ETA: If Hamas were saying "man, it's stupid how Jews believe XYZ...but we certainly support their right to believe such nonsense" then people wouldn't really care about Hamas at all.

If you ridicule a Jew it is antisemitism.

If you ridicule a Catholic it is hilarious.

They have been offered peace, they have been offered consilliation.

they have always rejected it, this is their choice, this is their world, they choose their own path.

People forget that a large swath of Americans actually supported Nazism in the years leading up to WWII, which lead to Roosevelt's slow response to liberating the camps. The US certainly ended up on the right side of history upon conclusion of the war, but we should stop short of claiming the US was bathed in nationalism before the war. Hell, the pope was aware of the Holocaust and did nothing.

I mean, perhaps there is some heightened sensitivity, but I think you are exaggerating.

Plus, the sheer numbers are relevant. 15 million could actually be significantly wiped away. Catholics, on the other hand, are more than 15% of the entire world population. The Church has also been embroiled in decades-long groomer cult activities. That's quite worthy of more than ridicule.

Come on, let's talk about Catholicism and the post Lutheran Reformation Christian religions.

But again, you're focused on Jews. Hey Catholics are a bunch of wacky farks that sound like Weimar Germany in mass. I didn't expect how weird it was, but I don't blame that feeling on all of you weirdoes that want the keg in the parking lot during a wedding in So LA. I don't want to fire rounds into your houses because I think you're weird. You do you. I'll just win.

Yet, you have no real focus on killers. Just the Jews and Israelis (they are not synonymous) . I'm not shocked.

I'd almost call it hilarious as to how you prog Christians forget the Ten Commandments. I'll wait for the justification. I'm sure G-d will understand.

You read wayyyyyyyyy more into my comment than was there.

Some of you are way too sensitive.

btw-frick off.

eta-I missed where you called me a prog Christian. You're not only too sensitive you're a fricking moron.

I'm far more conservative than the majority of this board and not religious at all.

Choosing to use propaganda this provocative is a clue to their heightened emotional state of mind.

It's understandable given the horror that they were put through.

I’ve been saying this for years, but it’s been repeated so much by lefty “academics” that people broadly accept it as a far right construct when it is indeed a far left one.

There were some German-Americans that tried to drum up some support and they never got any real traction. There were some, not German-Americans, that tried to get some Nazi groups going in the US and they got no traction either. When war broke out, I think these organizations were banned or prosecuted or something and it was a very few people in them. There was never any large contingent of Americans that were supporting Nazism.

Roosevelt's slow response to liberating the camps

Well we fought an entire war, against the best trained and most effective military the world had seen up to that time, to liberate those camps. Sorry it took a while.

What do you think the leader of the Catholic church can do about the Nazi blitz and Holocaust? That said, many in the Catholic church opposed what the Nazis were doing. I just don't know what you think they could have been doing. The church is not combat power and in many areas the Nazis took over, they sought to dismantle the local churches. A lot of the Catholic church was under assault.
