Is this the beginning of a race war?

The entire problem with Ferguson is the overwhelming white police force.
Is the problem more about law enforcement or the race behind the uniforms? If these riots continue and whites become the predominate targets could we see some blowback on the white side of this?
This has been my fear because trouble makers need to prolong this battle for as long as they can and that could mean targeting certain groups. Retaliation by whites only fuels the tension.

Blacks better hope not. Their 12.6% of the population or so would be thinned out quick if it came to that.

No. This is about a smallish group of people causing mayhem just because they can (and because they don't have much else better to do). The minute a group like this starts pushing against (black or white) middle class neighborhoods is the minute that they start getting mowed down.

I, further, wish you some reconciliation and enjoyment with folks of a different race than your own.
I do not ignore history. But, I don't stay trapped in chapter 2. Some of the best interactions and most helpful people in my life just simply happen to suffer from melanin deficiency.
I sincerely wish you a better outlook / outcome.

I did my part to keep the peace this morning. I walked up to Miss Jackie, the black cleaning lady at the gym.
Me: "There's leaves all over this carpet. You need more than a vacuum, you need a rake."

The past few days he's shown that he's more to be pitied than anything.
All that hate is eventually going to burn him up inside.
